Re: UHD drives

You’re totally right. There’s not a need for the listing of drive types anymore either Would it be a good idea to edit the OP to reflect the known good FW as well? Not a good idea no. A good idea is renaming this thread: "Research UHD Friendly Drives using Google or makemkv.com then PM / EMAIL jongh...

Re: UHD drive

We have the ASUS and the LGs in stock, as well as the Vantec and OWC enclosures, and could have had a drive out to you today, but can easily send one tomorrow.

Guaranteed to work right out of the box.

Alex knows how to fill out customs forms ...

This is the only Drive in the market that rip 4K discs?
With all the ASUS love going on you'd think so, but no, it's just the only firmware in the market that's worth using :-)

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55

3.01 and 3.00 work as well.
As far as I can tell there’s no difference between 3.01 and 3.02. at least speed wise.

And for that matter the Asus firmware run on the lg drives is producing the same results as it does on the Asus labelled boxes.

It makes sense but it’s still blowing my mind.
