Re: MakeMKV CONSTANTLY crashes

I also checked the event viewer and found nothing meaningful, or even related to MakeMKV. BTW, the drive I have is a UHD friendly (1.02 firmware) ASUS BW-16D1HT. For the ASUS BW-16D1HT the proper firmware is 3.0. Or you can use any of the MK revised firmware on here. I have the same model number dr...

Need help understanding which chapters to choose

I am trying to rip the Dragon Ball box set. The first disc was easy, just like a movie, there was one big file that obviously held all of the episodes. But to my dismay, I move onto disc 2 and all of the chapters are split up and I have no idea how to rip this properly. Any idea on what to do?

Re: Cant Rip certain discs

I dont wana say that my other issues are from the MakeMkV program, but im tempted to try other programs. you can try wh16ns60 1.00 or mk 1...

Re: Cant Rip certain discs

Yes I was successfully able to use the tools provided here to flash 3.02 but Im still having the same issues(drive makes grinding noise with some triple layer discs), although this time it actually made a dump file but I don't know where to send it. I also couldn't find this supposedly working 3.10...

Re: Cant Rip certain discs

That sounds like a bunch of BS to me. I've NEVER heard of that and I've been around a while. If it were me, I'd flash it to at least 3.02. I just looked on Newegg the one that said that is gone now but I have seen a seller that said they lock the firmware so it can't be updated, I didn't believe it...

Re: Cant Rip certain discs

Sorry and I meant firmware. And yes the company that I bought the drive from takes them out of the package, flashes the 3.0 and then locks the firmware so that it doesn't accidentally get updated.

Re: BluRay ripping fails since installing v1.14.3

There were 2 versions of "3.02" released by ASUS, much to everyone's annoyance. The first one was indeed still UHD friendly. A few weeks later they re-released it and that version was not. In any case, at this point in time there's literally no reason not to use the DE firmware collection OR the MK...

Re: Cant Rip certain discs

I'm having issues ripping certain discs. I have the Asus BW-16D1HT with the firmware locked at the 3.0 UHD friendly version. I have ripped 4TB worth of 4k movies so far. But a few dont work. Red 2 4k doesnt even get recognized that it's in the drive by the program. And various others fail to RIP ha...

Re: Cant Rip certain DVD and 4k Bluray

I always unselect all tracks, then only select the one track that is the largest file size and has for example all "14" chapters. I am now having an issue reading a 4k Bluray "RED 2". This movie was watched one time and put back in the case. I get this error message. Error 'Scsi error - HARDWARE ERR...

Cant Rip certain DVD and 4k Bluray

I'm having an issue with 3 different DVD movies. They Rip at a speed of .8x (like 1200 Kb/s) which would take me more than 24 hours to rip. I have this issue with 3 different DVD movies. I dont understand why this is happening. There is no visible damage to the discs. In fact one of them has only be...
