Re: UHD drive
Well, in the tech world questions like this are difficult without any additional information as it's all subjective. You gotta help us help you by giving us more information than just posting such a general open ended question. What do you plan to do with it? (e.g. rip/backup, watch BDs, etc) Some b...

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware
So I have a BW-16D1HT that had the 1.01 firmware on it, have had the drive for 2+ years. I noticed that for a long time with MakeMKV that if I rebooted the computer after it was installed it would give an error saying no drive found. To get it to work again I would have to uninstall/reinstall to re...

Re: Predator (1987) UHD
You should send it in as according to http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic ... 12&t=16765 I wasn't sure if this was still the way it was being handled since the change to hashed keys. Also don't assume I'm an idiot because of my post count, I've been using MakeMKV for a long time and I know ...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
Anyone know what the situation is with the BW-16D1HT-PRO model? Appears that the BW-16D1HT model has been replaced here with BW-16D1HT-PRO model. Not sure what the difference is? Is this a UHD friendly drive and if so what firmware should it be running to be UHD friendly? Cheers.. Read this: http:/...

Re: ASUS BW-16D1H, lots of chat on this but very little help
You are obviously having difficulties understanding the process. Reaching out to Asus is a total noob move as that will be the last resource that will allow you to downgrade to a firmware version they themselves have blocked due to the known loophole for decrypting UHD BDs.
