Re: Hashed Key Thread Updateing Notifications?
Additionally, Mike has already mentioned that eventually he would like to have an automatic key/file update occur through the app. So, it’s most likely that is what he will pursue in his development.

Re: UHD drives
Hello. So, I'm building a hackintosh. Listed as an optical drive that's hackintosh friendly is the LG WH14NS40. I ordered one from Amazon and got the NS50 version but with ROM 1.03 with a Jan. 2018 build date on the sticker. OK, so I hadn't seen this drive as UHD friendly, but doing a search I came...

Re: Ready One Player cant rip
You NEED to READ and follow the instructions here: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=16883 No use/help in posting the dump in these forum. Additionally I am almost positve that Mike has the dump for at least one additonal variation of this disc which he has yet to add support on...
Re: UHD FAQ
From personal experience it’s not. They still have a long road ahead when it comes to UHD BD playback.zenon wrote:The FAQ explicitly says not to use VLC. Is VLC 3.0 any better?

Re: Configuration
Also in the tick boxes for audio and subtitles is there a way of selecting all and unselecting, as finding having to untick all rather than the options I require. Same as everytime forced subtitle only and HD audio. Thanks, See here: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17502 The f...

Re: The Quick and the Dead 4K Dump
Because there is already a version available in the key file. Appears many have back this up already based on other discussions in other places I’ve been witness to. Like hundreds of other UHD titles in the hash key file, you can clearly see that there are different keys for different versions/regio...
Re: Rampage
Yes, this has been successfully ripped. One of the US versions that is.

Re: UHD support
Why why why would you do that? WH16NS40s are everywhere. Drives you don't have flash are everywhere. This flashing bullshit is pissing both ASUS and LG off believe you me. Fucking guys are returning bricked units to the store, you don't think those go back to R&D at the manufacturer for failure...

Re: UHD support
Hi, 1) Could anybody confirm that cross-flashing the device LG WH16NS60, having pre-installed the firmware WH16NS60 (version 1.00/1.01) to LG BH16NS55 firmware (version <= 1.02) makes this device UHD Friendly so that the drive is supported by MakeMkv with UHD Blue-Rays properly? 2) Do you know if j...

Re: UHD drives
Assuming no firmware updates have been made, is a Asus BC-12D2HT manufactured in Dec 2017 likely to be compatible? There is a possibility it will be friendly, but YOU need to try it. Additionally, MakeMKV will report the firmware version to YOU when you open it and it detects the drive(s) installed...

Re: UHD drives
Thanks for the information, but I still don`t get it why this drive won`t read any uhd disc even in windows (not only in MakeMKV software), because BU40N suppose to be an UHD Bluray Drive. Then that may be a more localized hardware/software problem OUTSIDE of MakeMKV on your end. This is the MakeMK...

Re: What drive for UHD ripping on a macbook pro?
1. You are posting in the wrong forum. This is the UHD DISCS forum. The UHD DRIVES forum is located here (in the board index it’s located just below this forum): http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewforum.php?f=16 Where things like this are being discussed. 2. There are many posts already discussing re...

Re: Attention. Ver 2.1 protection out
Thanks Mike, it appears our assumptions were wrong. The less 2.1 and other versions aside from 2.0 are used at this time the better. LOL.
