Which movie are you having issues with?
If I have successfully burned it into an mkv format, I can send it to you.

SAFE mode aka Sometimes old stuff is the best stuff.
I've run into an interesting "problem" with a couple of blu-ray disks lately. One in particular is 9 1/2 Weeks Original Uncut Version. When I try to run it in makemkv with my relatively new Vantec NST-51053-BK (which I got from Billy, set up for 4K), I can only get about 16 minutes into it...

Re: Not Compatable with Mac BIG SUR
Hold down the Control key (bottom left key on an Apple keyboard) then click the makeMKV app. Click the Open button and it will allow you to proceed.

Re: State of the art 4k movies from a technical view
If you want breath taking landscapes in a 4K UHD movie, give The Bourne Legacy a try. It has awesome LONG flyover shots of Alaska.

So riddle me this Batman; how come I didn't get the usual update available message then?
BTW - The internet access function was selected.

Automatically check for updates missing?
Did the Preference to have makeMKV automatically check for updates get moved/deleted in the MAC version or am I going blind as well as senile?

Re: Warning Message - "consider upgrading your hard drive'
This message can also occur if you are trying to do too many OTHER things while mkv is working. The division of labor (ie: processing power of your computer) can cause enough of a lag in mkv to where it gets snarky and gives you that message. I've gotten several times and have noticed it will delive...

Re: How to Rip Blu-Ray discs with MakeMKV and handbrake
Maybe I'm just lucky, but I don't have to do the dance of a thousand coding languages when using makemkv and Handbrake. I just open my external 4K-compatible drive, insert the disk and run mkv (latest version). I select the file(s) I want and as Jackie Gleason said..."Away we go!" Usually ...

Re: Star Wars 4Ks
I have successfully ripped Star Wars IV A New Hope. Although the opening scene with the scrolling into is in Spanish even though I am selecting English as audio and subtitles. Is there anyway to fix this? All of the Star Wars 4K discs I've ripped have the English script as the last one. Usually the...

Re: Star Wars 4Ks
Last Jedi Freezes up at about 7gig mark. My guess bad disc no idea how to exchange. Try cleaning the disc with some isopropyl alcohol or glasses cleaner and a microfiber cloth (wipe out from the center NOT in circles around the disc). Often discs with no visible scratches/marks have a chemical laye...

Re: Star Wars 4Ks
By the way...if you notice the opening of the movies is in a foreign language (a long time ago...), I figured out that each of movies has multiple listing for the film on the 4K disc. The only difference being the opening script language. The dialogue is English in each case unless you turn it off b...

Re: Star Wars 4Ks
I purchased all 11 Star Wars 4K UHD movies (the 9 traditional ones and the two Star Wars stories) as separate items from Amazon. Most of them were in a 3 movies for price of 2 deal. Got all of them for about 20% less then that monstrosity of a box set. So far, all have ripped fine except The Last Je...
