Re: Typical time to receive a license key via email after payment
I would recommend a second email to Mike ( support@makemkv.com ) about it. He can re-issue the key, but he's the only person who can.

Re: Ripped subtitles don't show up in my players
There are flags associated with subtitle tracks for players. Not all players obey the same flags. There is a "Default" flag, which is associated with the language, and tells the player to (by default) display this subtitle when playing this language. There is a "Forced" flag, whi...

Re: Typical time to receive a license key via email after payment
(I had a long reply keyed in, but you edited your post and put it back into the approval queue, which killed my reply...) Typically, the key is generated and delivered via email within an hour. It may have been treated as "spam" by your system; have you checked your spam folder? You will w...

Re: Shouldn't Forced Subtitles Automatically Get the 'f' MKV Flag?
Just a comment that the forced flag in MKVs isn't 100% universal anyway. Some players want the default flag, some want forced, some want both. And subsequent tools may UN-set them, even if you could set them in MakeMKV. Plex just adds their prejudices to the mix. I've got a script that I run on my s...

Re: First Time User Needs Help Extracting Audio
Preferences (the wrench icon if you want), General tab, turn on "Expert mode". That will enable to Advanced tab, which will allow you to select the Default profile as "FLAC". With FLAC selected, when you next open a disk, you should see (upon expansion of the title to view the tr...

Re: First Time User Needs Help Extracting Audio
My only option is to "Backup" So, you did not click on the BIG ICON with the disk on it, that moved when you had the drive open and inserted the disk? MakeMKV does have a FLAC profile you can select when you have the advanced options turned on. But the backup option doesn't really offer t...

Not the assembly - and it would depend on what the actual drive inside the assembly is as to whether it would be useful in your computer.

Re: Second Language Subtitles
When I ripped Shogun eons ago, there was a warning that the only Japanese that would be subtitled was that which the main character learned to interpret. The majority was un-subtitled, with NONE subtitled at the beginning of the series.

Re: LG WH16NS40 16X Blu-ray Drive Read Speeds
As the disk area being read gets towards the outer part of the disk, the speed will increase. "16x" only refers to the MAXIMUM speed you will see, not TYPICAL. There is a maximum RPM the drive will go; there is more data available to read, per rotation, as you move further away from the ce...

Re: Change default output folder
As I mentioned, I have one drive (Z:) on my Windows system where new rips go. That's all that is in my customized line, with "SemiAuto" checked. If a disk has a title, the path becomes "Z:/Title of Disk/", example "Z:/Danmachi S4 Part1 BD-1". This could work for many pe...

Re: MakeMKV fails without additional info in log
But, just out of curiosity, why 6 versions of MakeMKV? Two reasons: Defensiveness, and laziness. Can't say which is the main reason, though. When a new version is posted, I'll install it, but not as my primary immediately. There have been versions that were screwed up in some way, so that's a defen...

Re: MakeMKV fails without additional info in log
Just a note to say I have (currently) 6 versions of MakeMKV installed on this machine, and 8 on another, from version 1.14.1 through 1.17.5 (haven't installed .6 yet). You do NOT have to install a new/different version in the same directory as the original install.
Just saying.
Just saying.

Re: Initial Start-up
Not sure what you mean - MakeMKV has something "moving" when it's busy, and it's static when it is waiting. Start the program, and it has bars that move while it's checking the system, then a static screen when it's waiting. Open the drive bay, and the window changes to show the drive is m...

Those indicate read errors, one of which (625668096) was eventually read past, which could be because of the disk being scratched or dirty. Have you tried cleaning the disk? Even "clean, new, never been used" disks can have read issues... trust me, I've encountered them. It's especially an...
