Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Does anyone know what Windows video application will play a .ts file made using Yusesope's tool for "BL_EL_RPU.hevc" and muxed using 04.06fix tsmuxer version? VLC will NOT play the file.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I think the Shield is good with reading single track+dual layer dv profile 4, and single track+single layer profile 5 and 8 videos. Dual track+dual layer profile 7 videos have always been the problem, hence yusecope's tool to merge the tracks but keep the layers still separate (or the -mode 2 optio...

Re: In the market for a new drive

Load the BD into your Optical drive and don't use MakeMKV (it is unencrypted). Your operating system will allow access to drive contents - just copy the entire file structure to a HDD/SSD location, then use MKV Toolnix to create your MKV files[s].

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Have just created an ATMOS/DV for Gemini Man and have a few questions for the group. My process is simple: Clean ISO -> MPLS -> TSMuxer->TS or M2TS. Questions: 1) Why is the M2TS file 1.5GB larger? The same source file was used for both results - I simply used a different muxing option (TS vs M2TS) ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

If the moive contains more than one m2ts file, use tsmuxer to merge those m2ts files first. Noted, thanks mate! Drive the remux from the mpls playlist (easily found by using eac3to ".../eac3to a:"). And if using tsmuxer already, why not directly create a DV/Atmos compliant M2TS file direc...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

This is basically just what mp4muxer does (for an mp4), that's why the actual .exe is so small. Pretty much, though with .ts / .m2ts now working with dv I'm not sure we need mkv. I suppose PGS subtitles and proper chapter support is handy to some people (pgs to srt is such a simple conversion, and ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

What is difference between these? Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.07.06, EL+RPU / SMPTE ST 2086, HDR10 compatible Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.07.05, EL+RPU, 8 compatible / SMPTE ST 2086, HDR10 compatible Both were made from the same DV master - one via the MP4 method, the other via the M2TS meth...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

-personally I'm now using the newest tsmuxer with no DV descriptor in the HDR10 layer. this one: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Gq5TAcCtkyDUJtiaEpiii9B1io4OwHW9 have you tried a dual layer mkv remux at all? curious if demuxing it (gMKVExtractGUI) and making a ts from the two hevc and thd atmos f...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

MediaInfo results for Joker using TSMuxer (0301 nightly). What's interesting is that Dolby Vision is indicated on BOTH video tracks (unlike using the MP4 version, which only shows DV on the EL 2nd track). Also note that audio track is only showing the AC3 portion (of ATMOS), despite MKVToolNix (and ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I create for PLEX and use AnyDVD/eac3to for demuxing. Here is the process as I understand it: 1) Take the the dual layer BL and EL files from eac3to (.h265) and use the Dolby MP4MUXER (mode 7) to create a new MP4 container with a NEW EL (BL seems to remain the same...). WHERE IS THE METADATA stream?...

When using the Dolby solution, <mp4muxer_64bits.exe --dv-profile 7 --input-file "baselayer.h265" --input-file extendedlayer.h265 --output-file dolbyvision.mp4>, I obtain a two-layer result - one layer is the original baselayer and the other is a new dvhe extended layer. How do I now combin...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Is there a piece of software (perhaps a driver for WIN8.1) that could determine whether a video file is producing compliant Dolby Atmos and compliant Dolby Vision? For example, something that would acknowledge that ATMOS would be shown on an equipped AVR, and DV on an equipped TV. My 4K set is not D...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

5) The final MP4 muxing operation (GPAC 0.80) was unsuccessful GPAC-Issue.png despite having 1TB of space available on the U: drive. if you dont add -tmp U:\ then C:\ is used for the temp files Wasn't aware temp files were created, thank you for the explanation. Since the combined size of the files...
