Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020

All the versions of this drive are slim. I have a workstation (tower PC) that I think will be difficult to install. How difficult would it be to install? Also, after I buy this drive what should I flash it with? Is there a tutorial on doing this? I'm using an LG BH16NS55. This has worked well for m...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I follow the information in this (and other threads) but I have neither the time nor the skill to undertake what is required so I'm happy to wait for native support to arrive in Plex for my Shield TV Pro.

OT: do native English speakers understand me when I say film instead of movie?
Perfectly, since the word is 'film' not 'movie' for a native English speaker :D.

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Or you could read the thread. All the info you need is there. If that is too complicated, i suggest you wait until things are on a simple enough level. This is my tactic. I'm reading the thread as it develops but I cannot be bothered with the faffing around so am just waiting until official support...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

- Use BDinfo to find out, which mpls belongs to main movie. Do I need to do something first before using BDInfo because when I put a 4K disc in my drive and set it to scan, I always get error messages about not being able to scan the stream file and that the disc may be copy-protected or damaged? W...

Re: Current Walkthrough to Rip with DV playback for Nvidia Shield Pro 2019

Hi folks, I know I'm going to probably get blasted for this but I check around every couple months or so for updates on ripping 4K Discs with MakeMKV for playback with Dolby Vision retained on Nvidia Shield 2019 pro. I did some searching on this thread using the relevant terms but didn't come up wi...

Re: Peter Rabbit (2018) 4K

Since this is not a Lionsgate release, it is more likely that the different angles are a variation on the Disney formula of changing out title and credit segments for different languages. If I had the space (I usually do) and time, I'd tell MakeMKV to rip all 4, see what languages each has (audio/s...

Re: Peter Rabbit (2018) 4K

Have you played back 336 and 337? There's likely something different. OK, so I started a decrypted disc backup and then played back 336 and 337. They are just end credits. I have no idea what the difference is since the running times are identical. I am now ripping the marginally larger Angle 1 pla...

Re: A Better Way To Find The Correct Playlist/Segment Map

This is probably a uninformed suggestion but can the .clpi files in the 'CLIPINF' folder of a disc be used to help determine the correct playlist and segment map?

DV rips in MKV will fall back to HDR10 with Plex on the Shield and I've been okay with that. I'd rather wait for official support
Good to know as that has been my experience.

I'm also happy to wait rather than start side-loading apps.

I created an issue over there to hopefully encourage them to take a look :) https://github.com/plexinc/plex-media-player/issues/982
It's been closed already stating that Plex uses MPV/FFmpeg.

I got the Cloudflare error again this morning via my Telstra connection at home.

All good via Vodafone 4G though.

Disc decrypts fine, but there are 4 titles. Anyone know which one is correct? Thanks
Extended Version = 503.mpls
Theatrical Version = 501.mpls
Brilliant, thanks for that. This forum is awesome!
