Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I'm sorry to bumped up this question but no one seem to be giving me an overall idea on this Is this restriction on the player itself or the DV authoring prevent the "Zoom" happening but its possible still on HDR10 contains It's due to the processing chips being underpowered (or so Oppo c...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Dear all, I'm using OPPO 205 and Sony X950G I have a problem when playing Dolby Vision disc or MP4 muxed Dolby Vision files How could we enforced film to full screen(No Black bar) when play back DV contains? It said this operation is not permitted when I pressed "Zoom" on the Oppo's remot...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

So, my apologies if this has been brought up before, but Intel just released some drivers in the last week that enable Dolby Vision on their integrated graphics solutions going back to the UHD 610 (IIRC). I have no clue whatsoever how DV will be accessed via these drivers. Still, I suppose it's a go...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Personally, I'd hang onto the full backups, at least a little while longer. While I seriously doubt things will change significantly, there's always a chance that future solutions will, for whatever reasons, not work with these MKVs. I'm hanging onto my backups for awhile. Once we have a reasonable ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Thanks! Been waiting for this one for a long time. I'll have to fire up the Oppo and see how it handles the MKV. I'm not counting on anything but it would be awesome if it somehow used the DV layer. EDIT : As expected, the MKV plays only as HDR10 on the Oppo. A shame but very much expected. It's sti...

Re: Bridge on the River Kwai

It's just a tricky disc to rip. My LG and Asus full-size drives both choked on it, as I recall. I think I was finally able to rip it with my BU40N.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank everybody for their hard work. I'm super excited about the prospect of getting DV in an MKV container! :) Keep it up, everyone. This is awesome.

Re: AACS 2.1 support

Hi. First off, thanks to Mike for the support! Looking forward to picking up some AACS 2.1 discs now. :) I do have a question about the way that the support works. As I recall, there was a post where Mike simplified the concept of AACS 2.1. It had to do with some frames having alternate versions inc...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Hi. First off, thanks to yusesope for all the hard work. It's much appreciated. :) I do have one question. Has anybody tried the results of the new MKV method on the Oppo or one of its offshoots, or even just plain old HDR10 playback? I don't have access to a DV disc at the moment (I will later this...

Re: So does LibreDrive require recent bd drives?

I'm guessing that LibreDrive leans on certain chips being in the drives. If the chipset is supported, that's the key. The chipset in the various LG/Asus UHD drives got first dibs since there was the most demand on that end. Beyond that, I'd assume more will be added over time, assuming support is ea...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019

Update: i was confused abut the Buffalo not being Flashable over USB tested some stuff it defiantly does not work with the LG flasher but i must have had an old version of Martys asus tool it said "This drive does not need any FW changes." but re downloaded Martys new one and worked first...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019

Buffalo BRUHD-PU3-BK, UHD Official, External Slim 9.5mm USB 3.0- must be removed from case to flash I don't believe this is true. I downgraded a BU11 drive to BU10 using the ASUS_ODD_FW_Changer method. I haven't tried cross-flashing other BU40N FWs. But, I definitely didn't have to remove the drive...

Re: Firmware downgrade using official (patched) flasher, the "Ultra hax0r guide"

Just FYI, I just received a new BRUHD-PU3 with BU11 pre-installed. I made my own DE version of BU10 right around the time this post came up. The BU11-installed PU3 works fine with the DE version of BU10. :) (I assume Mike will generate an MK version at some point.) I'll try the BR40N FW on the PU3 ...
