Re: Windows 10 issues?
Hello, Thanks for helping out! This is a fresh install of win10 with fresh 1.97 makemkv I did turn on expert mode after it wasn't working the way it had for me previously - no improvement on file saves I have run it as administrator - no luck - it does show the right destination until you put in a d...

Windows 10 issues?
Hello, Makemkv worked fine for me in Windows 7 and 8.1 but fore some reason I'm getting an issue in Windows 10 x64. It keeps on trying to save to the wrong location - no matter how many times I change the default folder and saving. I exit - make sure it is closed in task manager and go back in and i...

Is DTS:X going to be available?
Hello, I just got the 19th DTS demo disc. There is a lot of DTS:X among the samples. It currently doesn't show the DTS:X in makemkv when I select the audio tracks. I'm really stoked about DTS:X as audio is really important to me. I'm not terribly concerned about Dolby Atmos but DTS:X is fantastic! T...

Anyone having trouble converting "unfinished business"
Hello, I only find one in every few hundred I have any issues with (my reader has current firmware and drivers and has no issues with makemkv with other discs). MakeMKV v1.9.7 win(x64-release) started Using direct disc access mode Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred w...

Re: the price
I haven't seen any. From what other forums say they send the promos to people on this site - not sure if that is true - I've been here for a while but not nearly as long as some.Malice wrote:and there are never any promo codes for 10 or 20 % off?

Re: the price
I'm a cheap bastage but if the license includes lifetime upgrades I think it is very fair. If it was for a year - $25, for lifetime $50 - gives you an incentive. Anyone know what the policy is?

Glad I wasn't imagining things. I just installed the latest version and it said my license key was expired.

Bolt 3D mkv file is unplayable on Oppo
Hello, I've ripped about 50 3D movies from Blu-ray to mkv. All have played back without issue on my oppo 103. I can play back a bolt 2d rip but not the 3D rip. Any suggestions other than just watching the 2d version? Not an emergency but I'm curious. I'm using the latest version of makemkv on an opp...

Re: Feature request - burn forced subtitles to the MKV
if the subtitle is set as default then it will show up on devices that play mkv, some devices/players will show it regardless or not at all (you have to manually enable it) I'm pretty sure it has been established the Oppo will not play any subtitles from streamed MKVs - default, forced or otherwise.

Re: Feature request - burn forced subtitles to the MKV
Many of the players out there share a common software base. There are minor differences in what CODECs they support, depending upon licensing. I own stand-alone units from Seagate, Asus, Micco, and Uebo. Only one of them defaults to subtitles OFF (Uebo M100). All the others play the FIRST subtitle ...

Please list all the things that play them back. I've asked in a number of places and so far no one has listed one streaming software or device that plays them back.Chetwood wrote:Anything plays them back.

Feature request - burn forced subtitles to the MKV
I love the simplicity and reliability of MakeMKV.
I can't seem to find anything that plays back streamed forced MKVs. Since I don't speak Russian, German, Klingon or nearly any other language, I'd love it Makemkv had the option of burning the forced subs to the video.

Re: What are you streaming to that supports forced subtitles
Thanks - then I should say no more compressed than the original.Woodstock wrote:You can't burn subtitles into the video without decoding it, merging the subtitle image to the picture, then re-encoding it. Since the original has been compressed, NOT compressing it is going to make the file size grow substantially!
