Re: WANTED: Results of UHD Rips with Dolby Vision
Hello friends, I am also interesting in DV. I have did some research and found some interesting facts. I am closely working with Dolby. 1. DV can be remux with mp4, ts and mkv container. 2. But DV officially using mp4 and ts because of mkv is not the right format for professional use. 3. 4K UHD dis...

Re: How To Rip a 3d bluray?
Video is not stored on the Blu-ray disc in side by side format. It is not stored as 3840x1080. So those guides are talking about something else. Maybe they are talking about illegally distributed files. DVDFab (and other software I assume) can rip a 3D Bluray into SBS 3840x1080. MakeMKV doesn't, bu...

Re: Thor Ragnarok 3D Mpls
for what it is worth, you can pull "just" a 2D copy from the 3D disk by unselecting the MVC track for the main feature. Is this an actual 1920x1080 source though, or an upscaled 960x1080? If it's the former then that would be awesome. I know the final size is 1920x1080, I'm just wondering...

Re: How To Rip a 3d bluray?
So I'm actually trying to create my own 2D rips of my 3D Blu-rays. At first glance, MakeMKV appears to do this automatically (just downloaded it and used the default settings). But I'm wondering how that file is being created? Is it really a full 1920x1080 output, or am I really getting a 960x1080 s...
