Bad disc - some sectors and/or bytes cannot be copied. Replace disc...
(I had no such problem with any of the Blu-ray discs comprising STTNG S1D1 through S3D6 (thoroughly pleasing my grandchildren ;>})

Did you mean to say "Blu-ray players" or are they, as you state, actually DVD players?
If they are, in fact, DVD-only players, they are not capable of reading Blu-ray discs...
