Re: BDR-XS07S UHD Flash
Hi Coopervid, Was about to pick up one of these drives. If it has firmware version 1.03 would I be able to roll the firmware back to a version that works with mkv? If so can you send me instructions on how to flash it? Thank you! No, firmwares younger than Dec. 2022 can't be flashed. If so, return ...

Re: Confusion about Pioneer BDR-X13E-S vs. BDR-X13E-X
Hi @ll, I'm still confused about the Pioneer drives and the nomenclature - especially these two: BDR-X13E-S BDR-X13E-X I understand that "E" means European market and "S"/"X" differentiates betweens internal external. ok. But what else? From the Specs on the Pioneer si...

Re: Pioneer BDR-212DBK vs BDR-212V
Following this thread, I purchased a used BDR-212V drive with a Feb 2022 date on the label but with firmware date showing as May 2022 in MakeMKV (still good). Firmware revision is 1.02. That means I can crossflash this drive to be able to read UHD discs, right? Can somebody help me with the procedu...

Re: 2 Rips From 2 Different Drives of Same Disc - One works and One Doesn't?
I ripped the theatrical and special edition of Aliens 4K using my LG and one of my Pioneersm(MKV, not disc backup). Both drives completed with no errors other than a few "dropped 2 audio frames to maintain sync..." which seems to be completely normal for seamless branching titles. The MKV...

Re: Blu-ray Drive Questions & Recommendations
Burning BD discs is so much yesterday. First - burning discs is much more expensive than playing from hard dsik. Second - disc quality especially for discs >=50 GB has gone south. Third: Only one player can play all three layers of a BD-R, only a few 2 of them (<= 66GB). So don't burn and the cross-...

Re: The volume key is unknown for all discs
I think the OP is doing regular blu-rays. Shouldn't need to download any keys for that, right? It should just work. I wonder if the ISOs of blu-rays made with multiMAN is somehow not doing the right thing? I don't have any experience with using a PS3 or multiMAN. I concur. And there are really old ...

Re: Dump submitted - Blood on Satan's Claw (UK release)
With the data directory on the preferences|general tab set to C:/Users/{username}/.Makemkv and the keydb.cfg file (that anydvd is happily using) copied into that directory, makemkv does NOT decrypt and therefore I assume it's not picking it up. If this works for some people then there's obviously s...
