Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

I flashed both my BU40N and my WH16NS60 over usb, using vantec enclosures So the USB cable that comes with the enclosure and that's it? What flasher needs to be used with this? I desperately need to be able to dump the firmware off one of these BP60NB10s, get it cleaned, and get these fuckers worki...

Pretty sure that was a joke. LOL
Negative. All this talk of interim firmware versions and multiple flashers is confusing the general public and having the reverse effect. Trust me I know this. I've never received more purchase orders.

Re: Recommended drives (2019)

is the WH16NS60 the only drive that currently does 16x read? The specs on the rest seem to indicate they are only 6x, if I'm reading things correctly. Depending on your size preference the LG WH16NS60 with original firmware version 1.00 reads (rips) at 8x is currently tied the LG BU40N slim drive (...

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

Remember what really matters with a true "Official" drive is a the presence of the UltraHD Blu Ray logo.
So can anyone verify that with this interim MK firmware the BP60NB10 drive now works?
Is flashing over the USB port now possible?

Re: Beware : New official 3.10 firmware for ASUS BW-16D1HT

I have an Asus BW-16D1HT on factory-fitted 3.00 firmware, i.e. it is already UHD and LibreDrive friendly. It sounds like there is now a way forward for getting latest firmware without losing these key features. However, I'm a bit nervous about doing that as I don't have any issues with the drive. I...

Re: UHD drives

The absolute best “UHD-friendly” drive at the moment is ASUS BW-16* series. Is this still accurate for the "best" UHD-friendly drive? The post is a couple of years old, and I'm not sure if it's been edited since then. I have a LG WH16NS40 with Firmware Revision 1.02, and it only works som...

Re: Potter 8 movie collection. 2nd disc volume key unknown

Yeah I don't understand how the key file keeps breaking. Movies that have been in there forever suddenly disappear and reappear a few updates later. HP2 though has been gone for months IIRC. Weird.

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

what drives/firmwares are supported with this LibreDrive mode? The detailed list will be posted soon. About 200 firmware versions total, about 2/3 in supported state. MakeMKV now displays detailed information for the drive on the main screen, look for the LibreDrive information on the right pane. I...

Re: UHD Friendly drives for sale & flashing service (currently Australia & NZ only)

I’ve been attempting to stick with the “hands off Australia you damn yankee” policy that you set forth but in order to be in 100% full compliance you need to start offering slims (BU40N) ASAP.

Ask me for a 4K “UHD Friendly” Blu Ray drive to try before you buy!
