Re: Official UHD drives for media tanks 4k playback?

Is that what it's SATA port is for? To plug in a blu ray drive and what, rip directly to it? Should be interesting. You'll definitely want to make sure you use downgraded drive, like the WH16NS60 running v1.00 firmware. If you need one hit me up!

Re: Dealing with poor ASUS BW-16D1HT quality control

A really good idea is to NOT buy drives off Amazon, a company known for shipping used and refurbished drives as new, and instead using one of the drive sellers here...

Re: drive reports errors after flashing

OK, no I'm doing an impersonation of a moderator, which one I am honoring with this impersonation? "Generally speaking, the error you're getting is caused by an error in reading the directory portion of the disk. MakeMKV can't get the information it needs to create an access key for the disk, a...

Re: This worked for me... 4k UHD MKV w / Dolby Vision

Comments: I tried using a $1000 Panasonic UDP 9000 blu-ray unit (at first) as the device to connect to the plex server. Reviews indicated that it'd detect files with dolby vision through direct access. But, I found out the expensive hard way that this was NOT the case. Fortunately I get to return t...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

THIS GUIDE WAS GREAT!! Super easy and had me ripping my 4k UHD Blu Rays in 5 minutes. Some of these guys are selling pre-flashed drives with a $55 markup. I guess I cant knock the hustle but there is literally no work involved, MakeMKV gives you all the info you need about your drive and you litera...

Re: WH16NS40: Blu-ray and UHD no longer work but DVD does

Thanks for your reply. I did read through some of those posts before writing this one and thought my issue was different since DVDs still work. I notice that some people say that they’ve had better luck with ASUS drives. Are those drives actually different, or are they still just LG drives sold und...
