@Gator54321 The Mac OSX version of MakeMKV will have a .dmg file extension when downloaded. The Windows MakeMKV will have a .exe file extension when downloaded.

It doesn't matter. As he writes, the code will work with applications for both operating systems.

Pretty much exactly how I do it. And it works every single time.

Re: Purchased, have key, "register" is greyed out

Yes, either wait it out, or delete the current β key in the preferences file and restart MakeMKV. On Mac it is in ~/Library/MakeMKV/setting.conf under "app_Key". Sorry, no idea where it is kept under Windows.

Is the Beta Key going to be renewed? Or is MakeMKV out of Beta, and no longer free?
It will likely be renewed yes, as always.

No need to de-install. It will work as many times as you need it. That being said, please don't share it.

Re: Best settings for Direct Play on Plex?

There are three solutions here:
1. Figure out if there's a single set of codecs all your clients can play.
2. Have multiple video/audio codecs in your containers, to suit all your clients.
3. Have a server which is powerfull enough to transcode on the fly for multiple clients.

Re: "Fake playlist" protection - help needed

You can improve isolation by increasing the Minimum title length (seconds) to something high. I use 1800. Not really, since all playlist obfuscations are usually in the same order timewise. YMMV but I sent files earlier this year for Patriot's Day and Deepwater Horizon and the latest MakeMKV still ...

I've done this for hundreds of files, without problems. Ripping does not appear to be slower either.

Re: New User

You are running the app from a virtual disk image, which is why it disappears, as the virtual disc becomes unmounted upon system shut down.

Solution: Copy the binary to your application folder.

Also, please provide a proper title next time you create a thread.
