Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I didn't watch the whole video but at 5:15 he is playing a single layer DV rip. Also later in the video he mentioned that it doesn't play double layer. It's an mp4, so it could be either profile. it's almost surely 7 though given this info by Nancy from the Ugoos staff: Dual layer currently is no p...

Currently a 4kUHD (Blade Runner 2049 for ex.) 1.15.1 MKV with DV/ATMOS = plays 4k HDR (NOT Dolby Vision), and the sound comes over as 7.1.
doesn't everything do that?

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

Hi - this is a great development. I tried with birds of prey. I used the single (BL + EL + RPU) video track created by MakeMKV to make a .ts with tsMuxeR (git-e347781) The resulting .ts shows as Dolby Vision with BL + EL + RPU in mediainfo but will not play at all on my x700 (let alone in DV). I tr...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I use my m9702 daily, with that said, it is far from perfect. If KODI or Plex could ever play dolby vision bluray rips to my TV we;;, life will be much better. with that said, we are far from that day. never gonna happen.. It's already happened :P the Ugoos AM6 Plus plays profile 7 dv rips in kodi ...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1

It does say official Dolby Vision support, but does that mean from media or streaming? Given that it has full play store support I would bet for streaming... No dolby vision support at all, from what I can surmise: https://theminixforum.com/index.php?threads/dolby-vision.2603/ and having Playstore ...

Planning to give it a go as looking for a box that play my 4K / 3D rips effortlessly Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using Tapatalk It does say official Dolby...

I noticed he said "Single Layer", any idea what profile he is talking about?
not sure, but judging by the mp4 and pcm audio I'm guessing profile 7.
Also, the guy who sent me this video said profile 5 dv rips work in kodi 19 on his shield. can anyone with a shield verify that?

New Android TV device with DV/Atmos support from Tivo - looks pretty good https://www.tivo.com/products/stream-4k same old song and dance.. no ethernet, no usb ports, low ram, and no hd-audio It has a micro USB port and a USB C port. I'm guessing the micro USB port is for power which leaves the USB...

I can Confirm that on my B9 the 2 files that I have tested that have caused me playback issues are 1917 and Gemini Man and both are FEL files.
1917 has hdr10+ and dv, and gemini man is in 60fps, both cause their own issues, so fel could be coincidental..
