Re: UHD drives
Umm.... no. A simple search would yield discussion/articles discussing the initial mass/popular successful roll out of all this back to fall 2017. With the first ever limited key leak around May 2017 if I recall correctly. Another hint? Mike who started this very thread did not post his solution/tho...

Re: Attention. Ver 2.1 protection out
Agree completely. Mike has our backs!!! Absolutely! has there been any new discs with AACS2.1 released other then fury and patriot? As of today, no. However, tomorrow Sony releases The Equalizer 4K and it's expected to be 2.1 as well. As it has been discussed before Sony appears to be the only stud...

Re: Does MakeMKV permanently remove protection on Blu Rays?
Yes, there is a handshake that occurs between players and media for various purposes. Including varifying protection (if any).

Re: Does MakeMKV permanently remove protection on Blu Rays?
No decryption/ripping software works like that. This includes MakeMKV. You are misunderstanding how decrytion of BDs work in this sense then. The short version. No. The media on the ORIGINAL RETAIL movie disc is static and the physical disc itself remains unmodified. Movie studios use physical discs...

Re: Dawn of Planet of the Apes
Emailing the dump as instructed in the FAQ is the correct procedure. Posting it on the forum is not. If Mike finds that he needs to add the key to the list he will. All you can do now is wait. Addtionally, ensure your hash key file is in the CORRECT location for proper ripping as ALSO instructed on ...

Re: LG-WH16NS60-Firmware Version 1.00 Disc read errors probl
That drive is an OFFICIAL UHD BD drive, which Mike (owner/developer of MakeMKV) has explicitly noted that it’s currently NOT fully supported by MakeMKV UNLESS it’s firmware is modified. Noted here: http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17092&p=60792&hilit=WH16NS60#p60792 So:...

Re: small suggestion
Not gonna say too much on this matter. The ONLY competition costs 4 times as much (200+ Euros). So, if you think MakeMKV price is unfair. Feel free to buy their option. Now have fun.

Re: WH14NS40 SVC - NS50 FIRMWARE 1.03
I have a WH14NS40 and WH16NS40, both NS40 versions, not NS50. Both are on version 1.02 firmware, but cannot read UHD disks. Is there a way to flash these with NS50 version firmware, or is this an actual drive hardware variation? NS50 is not a firmware version, it's a service code. For which you ass...
