Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

I followed this guide about a year ago with a newly purchased LG WH16NS40 but have only just purchased my first UHD Blu-Ray. MakeMKV is stuck indefinitely trying to load the disc and the drive just gets very noisy. Any idea what's wrong? From the 1st post: Sleep Bug: All UHD Friendly drives have th...

Re: Feature Request : Drag and Drop audio tracks

Not quite what you want, but IF you check Preferences > General tab > 'Expert mode' & restart MakeMKV, you can make 'adjustments' to the default selection rule on Preferences > Advanced tab per the following tutorials. Changing default track selection Changing track order in output file Similar ...

I expect that would be a player-specific preference. What are you using for playback?

Re: Certain files skipped due to minimum length amount?

Hi all I've tried the prog for the first time, but I get messages about certain titles that have been skipped due to minimum length requirement? I thought it did a 1:1 copy....can someone please explain? Thanks It depends on your expectation of "1:1 copy". Since MakeMKV... makes .mkvs, it...

Trying to update my version of MakeMkv program to the new one and see the same message “Account Suspended” and a Russian website. So is there another way to ge the newer version of MakeMKV? And will the website return if so when?
https://www.makemkv.com/download/ is working for me.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

well the post that links the flasher is itself linked in the first post as the recommended flasher for LG. While multiple flash tools exist, I tend to suggest the SDFtool Flasher as it is a front-end for the MakeMKV native command line tool, which is generic to all drives, gets updates w/ MakeMKV (...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

is there a reason why the recommendation is to flash the fw of a different drive? seems weird to do that rather than to just use a modded fw intended for the drive. It relates to the definition of the "sleep bug"... the WH16NS55 is a "friendly" drive & the recommended FW is ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

ALL reported FW dates are +100. No one has ever provided an answer "why?" What I was looking for... - Drive w/ v105 (encrypted) would have required the SDFtool Flasher (or command line), w/ 'enc' checked. Any other tool would have failed due to the encrypted FW. Clearly, this does not appl...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

this seems to be something different than what I get, for starters I dont need a UHD disc or even a disc at all inside, and also while that UHD sleep bug can be fixed by cycling the tray, if my drive gets its bug the tray doesnt even open. That, I'm afraid, sounds like dodgy hardware. But I suppose...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2021

okay so no real reason to upgrade from 1.04 to 1.05 both modded? well I did already and I hope it closes that weird ultra annoying bug that sometimes the drive becomes totally unresponsive either spinning the disc or not and needing a full reboot to do stuff again (which is especially annyoing whil...

Re: Suggestion: Save decoding info for complex multiplex discs

good point, for what it's worth, my slower reads didn't fix the disc in question today which indeed wasn't listing the proper titles. Slower reads did solve a previous disc that was showing the correct titles, but had a read error during ripping. It may not have any bearing on this particular disc,...
