Re: "Host certificate revoked" - drive now useless?
This should have been caused by sobe BD disc you've inserted recently, not necessary even open with MakeMKV. I would ask you to send a file named MKB_RO.inf from this disc to support@makemkv.com . If you are not sure which one caused this, send this file from multiple discs. These files compress rea...

Re: Windows 7 compatible?
did you try to minimize the app? I'm not talking about the percentage complete on the title. I'm talking about the icon shading that graphically shows progress in each application. Both the mkvmerge gui and MeGUI are both able to do this now. Comes in quite handy because you don't have to move the ...

Re: Forced subs
it doesn't do flac or any other conversions. it does not recognize forced subs.
it might do both in future, but not now. but you can convert to MKV first and then extract subtitle tracks to SUP and run eac3 to open DTS MA from MKV, if it is of any help.

Re: osx vs MakeMKV
custom firmware will work. blacklists are not that scary - after a particular certificate is backlisted programs get updated really quickly. MakeMKV was blacklisted 2 or 3 times and was always updated in a matter of few days. the open-source community tools suffer most.

Converting Blu-ray PGS subtitles
I'm excited to announce that the next version of official matroska tools, mkvtoolnix, will have support for extracting PGS subtitles out of MKV to a SUP file. The author of mkvtoolnix kindly provided a link to a prerelease version that has this functionality - http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoo...

Re: osx vs MakeMKV
the information you quoted is incorrect but the general idea is true. The drive will update itself the moment you insert a newer disc. The revocation information is stored in a special area on disc that is accessed by drive even before the disc is mounted.

DTS HD have DTS core track, no AC3. MakeMKV creates secondary DTS core track. Right now it can't convert any audio formats.

Re: Need help ripping Blu-Ray Distric 9 w/Alien Subtitles
Perhaps I'm mistaken but, I don't believe MakeMKV is presently capable of SUCCESSFULLY/PROPERLY ripping BluRay subtitles ("PGS" files). It is. Next version of mkvtoolnix would extract these subtitles to SUP file sutable for suprip. All MKV files created with previous versions would work.

Re: List of DVD/BluRay that haven't worked
If this is an european DVD the track might be in MPEG audio format which is not supported by MakeMKV at the moment.
