Re: Need a UHD Friendly Drive? Western USA and INTERNATIONAL!!

I appreciate all the love coming my way this week. Especially from the SF Bay Area! Who knew there were that many local makemkv heads?

Keep them coming people I can fill any order in 1-2 days. If you're local you get hand delivery :)

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2019

Why is my name no longer on the list of sellers?

I've sold more drives to more satisfied customers than the rest of the sellers combined.

Re: LibreDrive on a UH12NS40

You can put almost anything you want on those, it's odd. Also notice how your service code is NS40 not the required NS50. These drives can be cross flashed to use the ASUS firmware and damn near hit 8x rip speed. Good drives, and the last once I bought were $40 each.

Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches

Hey Everyone! Finally diving into the Libre Drive world with my new OWC Pro BH16NS40 MT1959. I downloaded the firmware pack and see two folders for the BH16NS40, but one is empty! Does the NS50 work for the MT1959 model too? John Yes you want to use the bh16ns40-ns50 and the service code on your dr...

Re: Disable LibreDrive until my drive is actually supported

I have the exact same drive as BaronVonJ and I had the same issue with Scsi error - HARDWARE ERROR:LOGICAL UNIT HAS NOT SELF-CONFIGURED YET. I updated to the 1.14.3, but now the drive won't even recognize the Blu-ray disc. The drive barely spins and says every Blu-ray disc is a DATA disc. I've been...

Re: Age of Ultron UHD failing repeatedly

"Planet Earth II disc 2 forget it." Same here. Any idea how to work around it? I ended up buying a new one. That worked. Dunno maybe it was the first pressing of this title had issues though I also suspect that playing it in my refurbished $99 Sony X-800 player I had at the time permanent...

So, despite an available FW, there's no generally available means to apply it? Go figure...

@smirob , I apologize for the bad intel.
Yeah, the firmwares not been tested as far as I know.

Re: New LG

This applies to WP50NB40, BP50NB40 and BP60NB10:

-these drives do not have a SATA port to connect to, only USB
-there are no publicly available flashers that work over USB
-hopefully those in the possession of usb flashers will stop just talking about them and start sharing them :-)

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

I've read allot on the forum ... probably too much ... and am confused about what belongs where. (Would "archiving" the obsolete/old-info/wrong-info threads help?) So, where do I stand with this (from the slim-drive label): HL Data Storage (Hitachi-LG) UHD Blu-ray / DVD Rewriter ROM ver: ...

Alex, you do know that either flasher can flash both LG and ASUS drives (plus other branded clones), don't you?
I do yes, but I still like to "brand match" whenever possible.
Sure wish we had a flasher for the BP50NB40....

Re: UHD drives

Use the DE_LG_BU40N_100.bin that's packaged with the updated flashers these guys have been so awesome to share with us. MakeMKV now prints a log message that implies it's looking for a libre drive when it encounters a drive with the old school firmware on it.So it's DE or MK firmware foe me! Which ...
