Which of the mentioned drives in the OP has the best writing capabilities?
I'd like to also use it to burn BDXL discs, but there are many reports of users where they fail, especially on cheap media such as verbatim.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
For me personally my C8 will always stutter and freeze when playing certain FEL titles such as John Wick 3 and 1917. It doesn't really matter whether I mux them into MP4 using mp4muxer or TS/M2TS using tsmuxer. I think the FEL layer is being processed though. The SoC just doesn't have the horsepower...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Can anybody with a series 6 LG OLED confirm wether or not they can trigger DV from TS or M2TS container? Basically when I create STDL DV using yuseope's tool and store them in .TS or .M2TS using tsmuxer they play fine on my LG C8 using both Plex and Emby. But when I try on my friends B6 the .TS file...

Dolby Vision is missing Access Unit Delimiters
Hi there Mike, It seems that when muxing the two Dolby Vision layers into a single track/pid, it's missing the access unit delimiters. Please see my issue here: https://github.com/justdan96/tsMuxer/issues/450#issuecomment-912992285 Without them DV won't trigger on my LG WebOS player (after remuxing ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Regarding LG WebOS players and DV inside .TS containers. They always seem to stutter, was there ever a fix for this? For the record, I open the m2ts file from the disc in yusescope's tool without any fel to mel or profile8 options. Then I use the latest nightly of TSmuxer to mux the resulting hevc +...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Quick question. For remuxing both layers into a single track we can use yusesope's python tool to create a single hevc file. However it seems makemkv will also create a single track (pid) when remuxing BluRay discs. But when I try to remux one of these single track dual layer mkv's to TS using txmux...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
EDIT: does the Plex app for Shield support DV from MKV containers? If yes, which profiles? all of them as long as the file are remuxed into a single track format. Thanks :)! Single video track it is then! I'm looking to store my videos in a container which can also carry lossless audio, but is capa...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
EDIT: I really hope somebody can answer this. Does the Plex app for Shield support DV from MKV containers? If yes, which profiles? And what about the LG WebOS Plex app? I believe it only supports DV profile 5 (MEL) from MKV containers right? What about .TS containers? I'm looking to store my videos ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I received the clone of the Oppo blu-ray player last month. It's called M9201 and it's basically the same thing but without the actual disc-reader. There is a monthly bulk import of these things on a spanish forum. It plays everything I throw at it. Now I can just open the blu-ray iso files from my ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I don't know if I'm allowed to ask it. Since the Oppo UDP-203 (with some russian firmware?) seems to be the only player being able to stream full BD remuxes (FEL with their full 4000nits...) over the network. I'd like to know the names of the clones.. as the player costs over 1000 euros here.. EDIT:...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So after the reports about the oppo 203 (with russion firmware?) being able to play remuxed FEL discs, can you actually see the difference? I have a LG C8 oled TV, but the FEL movies have to be converted to MEL (profile 05/08) because most of them will stutter otherwise. And of course it's not capab...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
So which players are capable of playing FEL remuxes from network sources (Plex/Emby/SMB), e.g. the full deal retaining the 12bit 4000nits final picture like when playing the original disc?
e.g. remuxed into a TS or MKV container so I can add a high def audio track?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Here's a good read again on FEL v MEL for anyone interested: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=16546620&postcount=119. I have also never heard of FEL automatically being 422, would like a source for that if it's true. For those asking what the "best" profile is when it comes to...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
@jcdr428: I used latest tsmuxer w64-nightly-2020-11-17--01-21-46 and muxed the first 3 mins of a UHD DV disc folder rip to a BMV folder and a m2ts file. Selected the BL + EL, Dolby Atmos audio and then muxed. When playing back on LG CX via Oppo, DV and Dolby Atmos are triggered correctly on both mu...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Any idea whether the Emby application also capable of triggering DV on the Shield or LG WebOS when using mkv's?
