@Matt92
Attached is a LG BH16NS55 1.02 Firmware created with the EEPROM Data Mover. I've also attached the ASUS 3.02 firmware updater if you want to cross-flash your drive.

Re: Cannot Rip any UHDs anymore
The first thing to try is clean the disc. UHD's are very temperamental. Even if they look perfectly clean, give them a clean anyway and try again. This seems to resolve most people's issues.

@mike admin,
Hi Mike, when you have a moment, I was hoping you could give us an update on this.
I would really like to backup my Fury UHD and I refuse to purchase Deuhd just to rip one movie!!
Appreciate it!

Re: blue ray ripping issue
Thanks Dorothymae, Unfortunately you will need to purchase a Blu-Ray Writer if you want to rip Blu-Ray discs. Also, if you have any interest in ripping Ultra HD Blu-Rays (UHD) either now or in the future, I would recommend purchasing a 'UHD Friendly' blu-ray writer, which can currently rip DVD/Blu-r...

@DorothyMae
Before you go spending any money, can you please tell us what make/model drive do you have? (You can see this information on the right hand side when you open MakeMKV)

@Domler Here is an ASUS 3.01 firmware with your data for you. (DON'T FORGET: Change the extension to .bin) Also, I have attached the ASUS firmware updater downloaded at the end of 2017 if you want to use it. After I flashed my drive to ASUS 3.01, I then used this firmware updater to upgrade my drive...

No word on this for a couple of weeks. I wonder if Mike is any closer to supporting 2.1? Anyone heard anything?

Re: UHD drives
SVC codes are not relevant to ASUS drives. They are only for the LG drives. Your ASUS is good if manufactured after 2015 and has firmware 3.00 - 3.01 (or the late 2017 version of 3.02). Firmware version 3.03 is not UHD Friendly and will need to be downgraded.

Re: UHD support
Yep, your drive is an official UHD drive. These do not work with MakeMKV. To use MakeMKV you need a UHD Friendly Drive. There are a few models that are UHD Friendly, but the most common drives are: LG WH16NS40(internal, SVC code: NS50) LG BH16NS40(internal, SVC code: NS50) ASUS BW-16D1HT(internal, m...

Re: UHD drives
@ timmeh, I have 2 of these drives. They have SVC Code NS55 on them. I bought one in December 2017 and the other in January 2018. The first one came with firmware 1.02 which works perfectly fine. The second one had firmware 1.03 which is not UHD friendly, so I cross-flashed it to ASUS 3.01 then upgr...

Re: I do not work makemkv
I believe that your drive is not UHD friendly. I'm pretty sure that no Pioneer drives are UHD friendly. Your Pioneer Bdr-Xd07J is an official UHD drive which is not compatible at the moment. According to DeUHD's website, the non-official UHD friendly drives are: LG BE16NU50 LG WH16NS40 (SVC code: NS...

Re: STORKS UHD Not Backing Up
Hi sleepycol, Your LG BU40N should be UHD friendly. It looks like you are on firmware 1.01, which I believe is good. I'm not sure about the key as Mike 'hashes' them so I cannot be sure if your UHD matches any of the 3 keys in the list. What concerns me is that in your log text file,the last line sa...

Re: UHD - Thor: Ragnarok - Correct Playlist
You need to have MediaInfo installed on your PC. If you have the K-Lite codec pack installed you should have MediaInfo. Otherwise, you can download a MediaInfo installer. I just google'd MediaInfo and it was the first link. Once you have it installed, just right click on a playlist or video file and...
