Re: Any luck with Dolby Vision titles?
I've been ripping UHDs now for the last day and only now realizing that Dolby Vision isn't part of the fun just yet. It is puzzling though from a technical perspective. It's not like DV and MKV can't be a thing together. LG has published a couple of demos showing off DV as a feature of their TVs an...

Re: What are your playback setups?
Now if I could just figure out how to get a Dolby Vision signal from the PC to the TV (HDR10 works fine), I'll be set. Unfortunately for everyone on a HTPC, not until a current PC software UHD disk player developer obtains access the DV enhancement layer plus metadata officially (paying Dolby licen...

Re: Correct playlist?
I recently started using CloneBD. The free version allows the preview of playlists.
You may want to give that a shot.

Re: Grey veiled image on all my bluray rips
Your'e no help at all. He explained that it only occurs during playback of MKVs. Oh and your post is so much more helpful. Thank you for your contribution to this discussion. To OP: Have you tried any other MKV creator apps like MKVToolNix to create an MKV file from the same source? Is it th...

Re: Unable to read UHD with friendly drives
So, dipping my feet in the waters here and have an Asus BW-16D1HT drive with a mfg date of Jan 2018 with FW 3.02. Reads blu-rays fine, but my system doesn’t see any disc in the drive when I put in an UHD disc. I figured the “hole” is blocked with FW 3.03, below is the info for the drive - any idea ...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
There are known issues with VLC's 4K support as they have just barely released it and off the bat it has serious problems.
It's better you try a more seasoned/stable player against your rips to help troubleshoot.

Re: STORKS UHD Not Backing Up
UHD Official Drives are currently not supported by MakeMKV yet. Mike has said so himself. He is working on future support, but he has yet to make any official announcements as to when or release a version that supports those drives. See his post regarding this in this thread: http://www.makemkv.com/...

Buy one of the known working UHD Friendly internal drives and then an enclosure. Many people have had to that and have been successful.

Re: windows 10 usb bluray driver

(E.g. external HDDs, optical drives, mouse, keyboards, etc) You can Google this and find many articles, topics, and Windows forums discussing this with possible s...
