Re: Errors on HDDVD Rips
I'd also love HD DVD support. I've ripped a few HD DVDs with eac3to, bdsup2sub and mkvmerge, but it's a major pain in the ass, and there are a lot of manual steps to be made. So if a tool like MakeMKV could make it as simple to rip HD DVDs as it makes BD-ripping, it would be fantastic. Apparently Cl...

Re: *** Three user preferences required!!!! ***
Neither do I intend to provoke an argument but this is like me asking over on doom9 forums to slysoft to detect presence of makemkv and disable makemkv's exclusive access to the bluray drive. From a marketing standpoint it is 100% useless for anydvd or makemkv to enable options for one another. &qu...

Re: Chapter Description in MKV
Does makeMKV preserve Chapter title or Description . I have converted DVD to .MKV using MakeMKV and play with WD TV Live. The WD TV LIve shows chapter numbers and plays the one selected. So far so good. However it would be better if WD TV Live would also show chapter description or Title as is show...

Re: Multiple Output Files
Is there any way MakeMKV can produce multiple MKV's - one per title. For example if I have a regular standard definition DVD from a television series and it has four episodes: title 1, 2, 3 and 4. MakeMKV will produce one MKV containing four titles, or the titles I've selected. I'm not sure if I un...

Excellent. I hope that means that this feature will eventually find its way to the various HW media streamers as well.mike admin wrote:A side note: latest ffmpeg already has a working PGS decoder so it is a matter of time for player's support.

Re: List of BluRay with forced subtitles
This is why I always rip with subs, even if I think I won't need them.nfazz wrote:It's really embarrassing to have your friends or family over to watch a movie, get halfway through it, only to find that part of the dialog is in another language and there's no way to get the subtitles for the missing dialog.

Seamless branching with MKV
Hi. MKV supports seamless branching through its "ordered chapters" feature, which allows linking to segments from external files. It can also be accomplished with a single file which has multiple editions. More info is here: http://www.mod16.org/hurfdurf/?p=8 I've successfully created seam...
