Yep, as above, if the drive is manufactured before "late 2015+" then it is no good for UHD. Also if the unit has fw 1.xx on it, which most of the early 2015 models do, then it is too old. I think it's around October 2015 that the newer "UHD Friendly" model began, which had fw 3.0...

I'm pretty sure that drive won't work. I have one of them sitting on a shelf. I think it is from around 2010-2011. For UHD Friendliness, you need a drive from late 2015+
