Re: Feature Req: Default to HD audio

I second that. I play all my Blu-rays in HD audio and have to turn this on every time

Re: HD-DVD Subtitles?

Do the subtitles work if split out and converted to SUBs using MKVcleaver and BDSup2Sub? Just wondering if MakeMKV is corrupting the PGS stream. (Is the PGS stream showing up in MediaInfo?)

Re: Eagles Hell Freezes OVer

I've tried that before. The problem is the LPCM track on the disk. If I remove it, it rips fine, if I include it it fails. DVDfab brings the whole thing over so if I want to play the DVD on 2 channel stereo, I can select the LPCM track. The problem is that I have to deal with the VOB files which I w...

I'm on Windows 7, wired gigabit network. Currently I rip to the local drive, then move the file. If I try to rip to the network, I get "0 Copies Made, 1 Failed"

Network Storage

When I try to directly rip a BD to a network NAS or other harddrive on the network, MakeMKV fails. It will only write to a local drive. Because I have a NAS on the system, I then have to move the file over the network. Is this a write speed issue or something else?

I rip all my BR to my harddrive with full HD audio. My HTPC currently doesn't have the capacity to bitstream HD audio (I'm waiting to pull the trigger on a ASUS Xonar or newer ATI 5000 series video card). When playing the movie, I can select the DTS_MA stream or standard DTS 5.1. I can play the core...

I have the non writer GGC version of that LG drive in Win7-64bit. It works perfectly with Windows 7 on my Intel chipset based board with the Microsoft driver in IDE mode or Intel driver in AHCI mode, the Microsoft driver in AHCi mode doesnt work well at all. With either of the two working combinati...

Re: Errors on HDDVD Rips

For those ripping HDDVD, what hardware are you using? I have a friend that has the LG Blue Ray / HD DVD GGW-H20L but he runs on XP and I've read that since this is a discontinued model it is not supported on Windows 7. With most HDDVD's selling for less than a buck, it would be a great way to get HD...

Re: Feature requests

I have been ripping movies to my server since the early days of DVDShrink. I do it for two reasons: 1. To remove all crap associated with warnings and previews, 2. To be able to stream movies to any TV in the house Since Blu-ray, I have become more selective on replacing my existing DVDS because of ...

Re: UPDATE: New BD+ as found in avatar

As a follow up to mnfish's question:

What happens if both files are present in the directory? The reason I ask is if in the future additional BD specific svq files are added, will it be necessary to delete them if a new composite allcombo.svq file is available?
