As usual therer are always various IFs and I'm not in the position to give exact dates. However it is fairly safe to say that in next couple months MakeMKV would be able to extract TrueHD tracks and put them either as LPCM or FLAC into MKV. The support for "native TrueHD" in MKV container ...

looks like badly-encoded mpeg-4 video. whoever did the reencoding did the bad job.

There is a known issue that many players have trouble playing interlaced VC-1 video. What do you mean by "useable mkv"? Does it play at all?

it looks like something is wrong with an mpeg-4 video stream. to diagnose we would need to look at actual video frames that cause the problem but it looks like 49 lines with this information were removed from a log file.

This is windows write error - "C000020C - The transport connection is now disconnected". Whatever destination you're writing on it looks like it has bad "connection". I guess it is an external disk with a loose USB cable.

The first one looks like an 16:9 movie that is encoded as 4:3. This is the way it is encoded on DVD. Look for "aspect ratio" information on a right pane when selecting title. Also, some discs are dual-sided with a widescreen version on one side and 4:3 on another. Make sure you insert the ...

You need a drive that is capable of writing to _some_ media. Since this drive supports CD and DVD writing it should work fine with MakeMKV.
