Re: X-Men

Hard to determine what the problem might be without more information. Please post the entire disc/error report.

Re: Newer Licensee having Bad Luck with Blu-Ray

Swap the disks? Like go out and buy or rent another copy of American Graffiti when the one I have plays fine on my PC with Power Media Player? We need a better solution to the whole Blu Ray debacle. I paid my $50 in good faith and would like to see the whole mess fixed. Yes, that is correct, swap t...

Re: An American Werewolf in Paris Blu Ray .... AACS Issues?

Actually, this is a brand new disc. This was happening from the moment I took the shrinkwrap off of it. No fingerprints, no signs of rot, and nothing that I can see with respect to scratches, smudges, or any other internal strife that can be visually seen. Be that as it may, the disc may still have...

Re: An American Werewolf in Paris Blu Ray .... AACS Issues?

Now this is helpful. If you've successfully ripped other blu-ray discs especially ones which have AACSv62 protection, on the same drive in the same computer, using MakeMKV 1.10.7, then the issue lies in the specific disc you own; it's dirty, damaged, or has mastering or pressing errors preventing a ...

Yes, angelgraves13 may be right, suggest you swap the disc(s).

Re: Rambo 2 & Rambo 3

Your assessment is not quite right. If the set was mastered or pressed with errors, then it will not rip as was described earlier. You'll need to find a different set, probably a batch mastered/pressed at another location or on another date, one with no errors. It stinks and is rare but happens and ...

Re: Arrow season 2 exact episode times

My method has always been to pull up the wikipedia or IMDB page for the season of a TV series I'm ripping. Scroll down to the episode list, carefully avoiding spoilers, and look for the writer(s) and director(s). The combo is almost always unique per episode. After ripping all episodes of a disc, I ...

Re: American Grafitti

If it does not rip, then the fault is not with MakeMKV as I've successfully backed up this title. Per Blu-Ray.com, there is no new remastering of this title; repackaging yes but nothing more. Please post an error report if your copy does not rip.

Re: An American Werewolf in Paris Blu Ray .... AACS Issues?

You are posting only 2 lines of the error. What has been requested, more than once, is the entirety of the disc/error report, not just the final error message. As an example of what I mean (no errors here but hopefully this helps, make sure debug logging is enabled): MakeMKV v1.10.7 win(x64-release)...

Re: An American Werewolf in Paris Blu Ray .... AACS Issues?

Please post the entire error report, there should be more than just the two lines. Also, please post the error log for An American Werewolf in Paris, not Miami Vice. Are you able to rip any other BD's?

Re: AACS 2.0 is cracked?

Mike, thank you for clarifying and helping put an end to all this speculation, of which I'm as guilty as anyone on this thread... Though I'm not interested in backing up UHD discs at this time, I can't wait to see how this plays out for when I do move to UHD. In the meantime, if I read your p...

Re: AACS 2.0 is cracked?

@ccutrer, once again I believe you are being unreasonable. At the moment, MakeMKV does not offer any sort of 4K support, whether de-encrypting or container-wrapping. I don't know what Mike's plans are for it, hopefully it is on his radar... BUT...you've made your feature request numerous times, to c...

Re: Newbie with questions

Never tried MakeMKV on CD's, can you rip to .mkv? Is that even doable??? Regarding #2a and #2b, with DVD's and Blu-Rays, you are correct on both. As to #2b, you can change the minimum time, I usually set to 15 seconds, which allows short files to be backed up then I can review to see if I want to ke...

Re: SEPT code No Longer Working

I do not work for MakeMKV or it's owner, Mike, nor do I represent him. In fact, I know nothing of him beyond this software he's developed. I do not know if he has another job, if he has a family or a personal life, if this is just a hobby, if he's taking care of a sick pet or relative, etc. I do kno...
