Branched titles + Dolby Atmos = dropouts
In general makemkv works well with branched titles and reducing the audio skew. However, I have two movies where I do get audible dropouts in sound. The first one is "Now You See Me 2 (2016) US": AV sync issue in stream 1 at 0:10:29.545 with duration of 0.83ms : encountered overlapping fra...

Confirming that this is correct for retail disc, from Amazon in my case: Source file name: 00440.mpls Segment map: 502,508,501,514,506,503,505,515,513,512,504,507,511 Played back just fine using MPC-HC v1.7.8. Did use audio track TrueHD 48000Hz 8ch 9216kbps [A: Surround 7.1 [eng] (truehd, 48000 Hz,...

Re: Best External Blu Ray Drive
I have an Asus BW-12S1S-U and I ripped about 70 BDs without a single problem. I also burned a lot of BDs with it and it never failed me.
It has USB 3.0 and comes with a solid stand.
Strange fact: It can write BDs faster than it can read.

Re: Change Default Naming of Tracks
I'm using the way via the GUI, but I would like to have this automated like OP indicated. makemkv is already able to distinguish the channels like "Surround 7.1" for DTS-HD MA 7.1. It would be great to replace "Surround" with the information displayed under "Codec". Or ...

Re: Movies Without Forced Subtitles Resources?
Not wanting to mess with subtitles but being interested in forced ones is going to lead to headaches.... :) I've found that the easiest way to figure out what subtitles to chose is to rip everything, then view the result. Pick a section of video where they're speaking English, and look to see if th...

Re: auro-3d question
Auro 3D should work since it is embedded in the PCM track. If makemkv just copies the track 1:1 which I believe it does, you are fine.

You may use 00434.mpls or 00695.mpls, they are identical. Tested myself.

Re: 3D MVC Issue
You should make a s screenshot of the boxes you clicked inside makemkv and also a mediainfo of the outputted mkv file.
I don't have issues with makemkv creating a proper frame packed mkc, the only issue is that it cant correctly flag right-eye first movies as possible with mkv (tag 14).

I can also confirm the right-eye first issue (tested with Drive Angry). Do you also need the MPLS and CLPI files?
