Re: Pearl Harbor 2-Disc Question
There is no right or wrong answer. Some scenes probably have a different camera view. Why not rip and watch both and tell us what the differences are and which one you like best?

Re: Suggested MakeMKV Improvements.
That is an high failure rate. I've ripped over one hundred blu-rays and had only one failure from a defective disc on an old WH14NS40 drive.

alexantr:
The chapter marker differences appear to be multiples of 0.041666... sec or one frame at 24 fps. If the chapter length changes to maintain audio-video synchronization, the chapter marker should also move so it still appears at a scene change.
Maybe this is Woodstock's magic.

Re: Chapters have inaccurate timestamps on all BD and UHD BD
It looks like MakeMKV drops an occasional video frame to maintain audio-video synchronization. See https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=26683 , for example, which could explain the differences in chapter length. One frame at 24 fps is 42 msec. Edit: This is advertising my ignoranc...

Re: Can you add an SRT to an MKV?
Some video players including, I think, VLC will pickup the .srt file if it is named like the .mkv file and in the same folder. Leaving it separate initially can be useful if you need to tweak the timing on the .srt file.

Re: Speed
A few more details on what you are trying to do would be helpful. Are you making an MKV file or copying the disc? Any log information would be useful and Woodstock gave a link to turn on debug logging at the bottom of his reply. For all I know, you left all the files checked on a Lionsgate movie and...

Re: Title XXXX.mpls is equal to title XXXX.mpls and was skipped
So I noticed MakeMKV is skipping one of the playlists in 28 Days Later because it thinks it's the same as another playlist. They share the same m2ts file but they have two different title lengths. Anyone got any ideas? Maybe this post https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=24777 ex...

Re: How to create a Blu-Ray disk (from an MKV that was extracted from a Blu-Ray disk)
Many home BR players will also play .mkv files recorded on a disk as a data file. Have you tried this on your car BR player?
Recordable disks are temporary storage and will fail in a few years. Maybe your player has a USB input for a thumb drive.

There is another way. One of the perks of a paid, permanent registration is that you can run old versions without any clock adjustments.

Re: Manual download of new BD-Data?
It used to be that you could download makeMKV.com/svq/dsall.svq but I just checked and that file is the same size as one downloaded a couple years ago. I believe MakeMKV can handle any BR by itself now and the auto download is more for UHD disks. Someone will correct me if this is wrong. To control ...

With Java the choice for main feature appears at the top of the mpls list, not in numerical order.

Re: Voyagers (PLAYLIST)
hvnphoto,
Thanks once again for your identification of the proper playlist. Now that you are omitting the "filename_t##.mkv" will also save confusion for new users.
Keep up your great work.
