Re: Any plans for makemkvcon on PPC64?
Unfortunately, there is no point to do so. PS3 hypervisor limits access to the Blu-ray drive so certain important information (volume id) can't be read from the disc. That makes decryption impossible. There is no known hypervisor hack yet so blu-ray drive in ps3 is somewhat unusable.

Re: MakeMKVcon
Do not specify "BDMV" directory. In your case it should be just "N:\Blu-Ray Movies\Bolt". From gui you can just select file and MakeMKV will strip the path tail automatically.

Re: X-Files season 1 disc ripping incorrectly
We know about this problem. It is an error bug in a sense that no obivous error is visible but title is just cut. This will be fixed in the next version.

Re: Problems creating MKV from BluRay?s
The next version will have better diagnostic facility - it should help to fund the cause. As per three different titles please check if they have the same "source file name" in info panel. Most likely they are slightly different. This is how the disc was mastered.

Re: Pulp Fiction bluray problem
The error says that mpeg4 stream is corrupt in one place. We've never seen such error before. We'll try to reporduce the problem.

this is VC-1 video - VLC can't play it. Audio should play on windows - something is broken.

Re: Reencoding AFTER makemkv
There is always an old long way:
1. use mkvextract to extract m2v video only
2. convert it to h264 (many options), optionally detelecine and crop
3. mux a new MKV with mkvmerge using your h264 track and all audio/chapters from original MKV.

Re: MakeMKVcon
the syntax is exactly the same as for dvd. Try to open it from GUI first - open a "index.bdmv" file in BDMV directory. For console version please specify the path to folder that contains BDMV directory.

Re: Bad audio in BD-rip
Channel assignment will be lost if written as PCM. We'll probably add an option to do so anyway in next version.

Re: Bad audio in BD-rip
This one is complex. The LPCM on this particualr disc is not stereo - it is 3/0 LPCM (L,R,C). The only format that can preserve multi-channel LPCM and channel assignment is "exteneded WAV" - so MakeMKV writes track in this format if LPCM contains more than 2 channels. Unfortunately, the on...

Re: Subtitles always on / Wrong chapters / Languages not set
I tried the latest version of makeMKV and came across the following issues: 1: Subtitles are muxed in as default tracks resulting that they are automatically turned on on playback. They should be optional unless they are forced. MakeMKV does not put any default/forced flags for any tracks. Apparent...

Re: Some Ripped Movies Not Playable
Ok, here is the mkvinfo for the file. When I pass the file through mkvmerge it says everything went fine but the resulting file is only 81KB in size: Ok, that's really strange. What was the size of mkv file (title00.mkv ) that was produced by makemkv? Also, if you run "mkvextract.exe tracks ti...

Re: Host certificate revoked
There are 2 errors happening: 1. Program was unable to change thread priority at one time (this is not critical) 2. When talking to the drive _some_ SCSI commands were rejected by SG driver. The command in question was first command that transfers data to the drive (SEND_KEY) so I wonder if your sys...
