Re: John Carter BD forced subs?
There are 2 English subtitle tracks and the subtitles in neither one are forced. However, the second English subtitle track contains 61 subtitles that are the alien language and other info that should be forced. Just rip the disc with both English subtitle tracks and then set the second one to be fo...

No, it's not a chapter, I checked that.
Apparantly, Magnolia/Magnet releases have this screen at the beginning and somehow tell the Blu-Ray player to start the playlist at 19 secs in.
I'll try tsMuxeR.

Ok, thanks!
Does anyone know of a way to clip that 19 secs from an MKV produced by MakeMKV or from the mt2s file that I've ripped to HDD?

Re: recommended work flow (mostly a subtitle question)
I re-run MakeMKV on the first MKV rip that I did and select only the tracks that I want to keep.
I guess that's basically the same as what you're saying to do with MKVToolnix.
Since MakeMKV will now open and remux an MKV, I just use that.

Centurion - technical info title screen at beginning of MKV
I'm not sure that this is an error in MakeMKV, but when I rip Centurion, it displays a silent Technicolor Services title screen that lasts for about 18 secs. I found a couple of posts regarding this in the BD-Rebuilder forum: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1476097&highlight=centurion#po...

Re: recommended work flow (mostly a subtitle question)
This is similar to what I do. The main issue with subs and forced subs is the player that you're using. I use XBMC which supports uncompressed PGS subtitles and the forced flag. Some titles have multiple english subtitle tracks, e.g. English, English for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and English commenta...

Re: Merging Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Trilogy Set
Here are the steps that I used: 1. Create both mkvs using whatever programs you prefer. 2. Open FOTR part 1 in mkvmerge. 3. Set the output filename to what you want. 4. Note the number of chapters (27). 5. On the global tab, check Enable splitting... ...after this duration. Place 6338s in the box. 6...

Just set your preferred language in preferences.Woodstock wrote:The default is to rip the file with ALL audio and subtitle languages into the MKV file. When I rip some disks, I have to manually disable as many as 6 languages I'm not interested in.

Re: MakeMKV miss some bonus
I just tried this and the title is 01 in MakeMKV (the second one - 1GB). Source file name: 0032.mpls, Duration 5:49, Segment map: 29, 30, 31.
Title 02 and 03 is French and Portuguese title.

Re: Love to see chapters start 1 instead of 0
This is a bit complex and ugly. Chapters start with 00, but if the first chapter is too close (less than 1 second) to the second, then the "0" chapter is deleted. This is the case for 99% discs. Sometimes, for discs that don't have the real "first" chapter MakeMKV keeps the &quo...

Re: Contagion (US) Won't Rip to MKV
I was also able to create an MKV and a full disc backup. However, I was unable to play the backup with TMT 5, like I normally am. I get an error that an update to the player is required. BD-J Error 001.

I've found that I can use Imgburn to create an .iso from the resulting folders/files created from a full disc backup.

What do you use to edit the chapter names?paulster wrote:Every one of the dozen or so BluRays I've ripped so far to test has begun Chapter 00 whereas every DVD has correctly begun Chapter 01.
I'd really like this fixed as it's a pain to have to edit every single chapter name after ripping.
