Re: Development of a MAC 64 bit Release

I have absolutely no idea but I think it is a great idea to have MakeMKV go 64 bit for Mac considering almost all of my other applications are.

MakemMKV and Subler 0.9.7?

Anyone have luck using Subler to remux Blu-Ray .mkv rips into .mp4? I've had absolutely no success, All the output files are unreadable by Quicktime X. I know DTS is not supported with the .mp4/.m4v container but for H.264/AC3 .mkv's I would love to be able to put them into a .m4v container. This so...

Re: Why no Blu-Ray Menu support?

Anyone, but I figured you mike as a developer would have the best knowledge of the subject. As much as I love the MKV format (thank you!) I also like the Blu-Ray menus. I realize that you are not a media playback software developer (or are you??) like Plex, VLC or such, but I'm guessing you have a c...

Re: MakeMKV & PS3MS

There will be a great amount of artifacts while streaming a Blu-Ray on the fly with your Mac and PS3 do to compression. If you want a perfect picture I would use PS3 MediaLink to copy the decrypted .mt2s file of the movie to your PS3 using MakeMKV's backup feature.

Why no Blu-Ray Menu support?

With MakeMKV's relatively new Decrypted Backup feature now available, why is there no support/development of Blu-Ray Menu playback under OS X?

Re: MKV file made by MakeMKV and Perian on a Mac = bad

Perian and Quicktime 7 is pretty old school in my point of view.

I would Recommend

Plex
Movist (Though it hasn't been updated since December)
VLC
MPlayer (pretty small development team for the Mac version)

Re: [Feature Request] Renaming output files

The auto naming of the Folder is nice but I too would like to see the ability to directly name the .mkv file in the GUI.

Re: Re. TrueHD / DTS-HD Audio Tracks

So if HD audio is supported, why is it unselected by default? For example I just popped in 'The Last Emperor' Blu-Ray and get the following (see attached photo) Would there be any reason for me to select the DTS HD Lossless English track if I'm only outputting stereo through the headphone jack of my...

Illegal Request Error

Here is my MakeMKV Log for the DVD 'The Joy Luck Club' Question to mike the admin of this site. Is there a better way for me to post my error logs? Like directly emailing you the .txt file or something? Debug log started at Mon Mar 22 23:36:35 2010 , written by MakeMKV v1.5.2 beta darwin(x86-release...

Re: BluRay Ripping Speed

Than the only way to get the full read speed out of MakeMKV would be to upgrade to an Intel SSD or VelcoiRaptor
Basically any high end SSD or 10,000+ rpm HDD.

One of these would be nice : D

Re: BluRay Ripping Speed

The message is in the main window of MakeMKV when processing a Blu-Ray. If you are only reading at a maximum of 3x than you probably won't get the message. What Mac are you running and do you have a 5400rpm, 7200rpm or SSD hard drive? The website you linked is not working right now but of these two ...

Re: Success with new FULL disc backup

I too had success with the new Full Backup feature and Blu-Ray. I ended up with the same file as I got using backup with AnyDVD HD, which is a big relief for me because that one program was the only reason I was running Windows 7. The problem is I'm running OS X and there is no program (I use Plex a...

Re: BluRay Ripping Speed

I have a 4x Blu-Ray drive that actually reads at 4x with some Blu-Rays using MakeMKV. When it does reach this speed I get about 10 consecutive 'optical drive reads faster than hard drive can write, consider a faster hard drive' messages. This is with a 2.33Ghz 2007 MacBook Pro and 7200rpm internal h...
