Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri
That's the latest and greatest. And yea, apparently the sleep bug is NOT actually fixed in MK 3.10. Ah well, at least it works well. ah good stuff, thanks for the update :D Ok, I admit it I'm a terrible human being and only pop on when I have a problem  - but that was in another thread  ...

The Goonies 4K Ultra HD = The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Hi, Just bought this disc and received the message 'The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted' Have located 'MKB20_v72_THE_GOONIES_4738.tgz' and sent it to svq@makemkv.com - hopefully that is the correct procedure from the post I read below. https://www.makemkv.com/forum/vie...

Re: Incorrect Free Space Reported
Hi,
No fix but with no progress and not my main machine I just ignored it, I usually rip and move to external storage and it's only if I did a couple without moving (while still having plenty of space) I get the message pop up.
I'll have to check the free space vs what the app reports next time.

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri
Hi, I have a pair of BW-16D1HT drives on the modified MK 3.10 firmware (ASUS-BW-16D1HT-3.10-WM01601-211901041014.bin) - all working well I just haven't been on the forum in a couple of months and wondered if there has been any new developments? is this still the firmware of choice? just trying to st...

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT 3.03
Is there an additional step I missed? I have not yet inserted a UHD disk as I am planning to get my first ones after I get this to work! You need to make sure that MakeMKV can download updates, or you have to download the latest SDF.bin manually. where do we get the SDF.bin from? I was curious too ...

Re: Incorrect Free Space Reported
I'd hope I know more than most but couldn't come up with anything... its not the end of the world though so sure I can live with it until a solution presents itself.
thanks anyway

Yup...that's the sleep bug and yes, MK 3.10 is the firmware that fixes it. I applied the MK 3.10 from the link below, but still get the sleep bug - am I using the right file? https://www.makemkv.com/download/mk-firmware-pack-20190319.zip from the first post on https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopi...

Re: No Chapters for UHD Rips
I always grab the title that has the most amount of chapters listed be it BD (I'm guessing that's standard HD bluray) or UHD. Just checked VLC (and mediainfo earlier today) and both are showing the chapters so not sure what's happening there but I'm guessing the issue lies with Plex but odd that wit...

No Chapters for UHD Rips
Hi,
I'm finding that my UHD rips don't have any chapters playing back via Plex, however the same process for HD bluray's do... I've tried searching to see if this has come up before but as yet haven't seen anything.
Any ideas?

Incorrect Free Space Reported
Hi, Oddly MakeMKV is reporting 138.5GB remaining (and dropping as its currently ripping - see screenshot) when finder reports 229.89GB. There is also nothing in the trash, any ideas on where MakeMKV is getting its information? as it keeps reporting I may not have enough space to rip the disc. (The m...

Re: External Drive Recommendation
I bought ASUS BW-16D1HT - always found external caddy's too bulky so bought a Inateck USB 3.0 to SATA converter and just popped it in the back. It was allot cheaper than a caddy (£17), just make sure you get one that is compatible with optical drives. (oh, I flashed it on the SATA bus not USB - thou...

Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches
I just want to thank every single person that dedicated their own personal time to help people like me. I purchased an ASUS BW-16D1HT followed the instructions to downgrade to 3.02 and it works like a charm. I am using the NextStar DX External Enclosure that does the job and looks great on my desk....
