Re: Price too high

Hi, This topic comes up every now and again, usually around the Beta key refresh time, as there's been a delay with the key being released the last couple of cycles. A search for "cost" or "price high" should come up with the vast majority of threads. There are a couple of option...

Re: Feature Request: File Names Based on Segment Map

However, I think this use case is common and the difficulty is low. I cannot comment on the use case being common for others, only myself. Personally, I prefer to do it via MakeMKV, as it prevents me needing to mess with it later on (which is important, as I've scripted everything after the MakeMKV...

Re: Chapters - disable/enable option

As for chapters, if there are options to deselect video, audio, subtitle tracks, so why not give an option to deselect chapters before creating .mkv file? Yes, I use MKVToolNix, but it's not working very well with MVC, so I would like to have such option in MakeMKV. I can't speak for Mike (admin), ...

Re: Chapters - disable/enable option

I tried to use "-sel:all" in Expert Mode, but it's not working on titles. What about chapters, any chances to have an option to untick them before creating .mkv file? Chapters It looks like chapters aren't selectable / deselectable, so currently that won't be removable via MakeMKV. A prog...

Re: Chapters - disable/enable option

I highly doubt there'll be made an option where everything is deselected by default, but you can right click on a title, and select "Unselect All". which will deselect all titles, which should help.

Re: Feature Request: File Names Based on Segment Map

While I hate to revive a dead thread, is there any reason why you can't check the segment map WHILE you're using MakeMKV, instead of afterwards? MakeMKV shows the segment map on the right when the title is selected, allowing you to confirm which is the correct title then and there.

Re: Converting multiple Discs at the same time.

I'd recommend using Single Drive mode - this way, each instance of MakeMKV is paired to a different disk drive (and can operate independantly of each other, doesn't impair speeds by trying to scan a drive already in use, and can have unique save-to paths without messing with the other window. To ena...

Re: HEVC Support

Hi, If you search the forums, this has been raised several times. MakeMKV is not an encoder - MakeMKV is a transcoder. It shifts from Bluray / DVD to MKV (without altering the video / audio format), though, depending on choice, compresses the subtitles. There would be plenty of other programs availa...

Re: Merging two *.MKV files but retaining audio and subtitle

As MakeMKV is used only for extracting the MKV from a disc, you wouldn't use it for merging the MKVs. What I'd recommend is using MKVMerge (MKV Toolnix) (Google search), which allows you to merge videos together, and export an MKV. Doing this, you'd merge the two MakeMKV dumps (to merge the two audi...

Re: Malicious Damage Caused by MakeMKV?

I believe I would be correct in assuming that the owners of MakeMKV have better things to do than to attempt to remotely attack any individual user's computer that are running PavTube. But let's assume otherwise, and list come important points. In order to connect to your computer, they have to know...

Re: Region error code on DVD but not Blu-Ray

Hi, As a fellow owner of a Matshita drive, I feel your pain. On to business - are you using Windows, Mac OS, or Linux? You may need to confirm your Region settings. Disc drives often come without a region pre-selected, and it is also possible the region was changed at some point recently. On a Windo...

Re: Windows Script to Remove "_T0x" at the end of the files.

Could be possible to adapt the code to T000 instead of T00, obfuscation method usually have in excess of 99 files e.g. " The Expendables 3 " where the correct playlist is the 171, so the actual code won't work. Thanks in advance. :D bump Haven't got the time to incorporate it into one scr...

Re: Windows Script to Remove "_T0x" at the end of the files.

Many times I get title00.mkv, rarely do I get Discname_t00.mkv Why does it do it sometimes and not? Are you naming the files yourself? It sounds like you're accepting the default name, or not naming them. If you go to View->Preferences->General->Expert Mode (tick the box), you can name individual t...

Re: Omit File name suffix "t01", "t02", etc.

Just copy the code, paste it into notepad, and save it as "whatever.vbs" (keep the quotes, change 'whatever' if you like) I think you mean to say remove the quotes. This script is also for M$, not Mac or Linux. I meant keep it. By default, notepad saves files as ".txt" files. If...
