Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
What Pioneer drive is recommended? I haven't look into this for 6+ years, no idea what people buying now. And does it have to have its firmware re-flashed to "downgrade" it to work? s13 ubk is more than enough the ux is way over prices to be very slightly quitter the 212 is good too i hav...

Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
I received my replacement disc from Amazon, and I've been trying to rip it. Still getting all manners of disc errors, although I think the sector location is different. Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:INVALID FIELD IN CDB' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00294.m2ts' at offset '32599572480'...

Re: Oppenheimer (2023)
No. Internal LG WH16NS40 1.02 drive. Works great. No other UHD discs have problems. Not an issue with the disc being dirty. Not a problem with my drive. This is a MakeMKV issue with Oppenheimer (from Amazon, apparently). didnt you say pioneer at first see it was a junky lg as you can see from this ...

Re: Ripped UHD: can my 9.2 channel receiver play these "immersive audio experience tracks" faithfully?
long as you players are set to bit stream the audio and not decode it
most players out of the box want to decode it so you dont want that yuo may have some settings to change and some research to do it usually does not just work even if every thing supports it

Ripped UHD: any audio tracks ATMOS? These are two examples of the audio properties shown for two different MKV files Are any of these files ATMOS? If so, can you give any details on a 9.2 receiver utilizes them? Video: HVC1 3840x2160 23.976fps [V: English [eng] (hevc main 10 L5.1, yuv420p10le, 3840...

Re: EaseFab Stolen Message
hmm i wonder if mike built in a warning for programs using his stuff in the background other than libredrive. using libredrive is 1 thing.. but just putting a skin on top of makemkv with some extra encoding features is just wrong and it seems they are not the only ones who have done it others have t...

My apologies in advance I am new to all this. yeah bd should be 4-6 x thats what i get on my xs07s use the pioneer drive utility to change the mode to performa...

Re: Confused as to which Pioneer drive I should buy
With either of those, will the firmware have to be changed/downgraded/upgraded to be compatible with MakeMKV ? I was looking at the BDR-X13UBK since it is an external drive but wanted to make sure it was good to go out of the bos. Thanks for the reply. sadly For now you need to buy a pioneer from a...

Re: Confused as to which Pioneer drive I should buy
S13UBK is pretty good the ux is overkill to be slightly quieter and be black and gold.
But I have both available
212 is also good if your on a budget but it's louder and a last gen drive
