Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Sure I can have a look this weekend when I also compare CMV4.0 (and CE-21) but honestly, right now I'm 100% satisfied with the current build ( 20.5) I did all my tests and I'm more in my ''enjoying movies'' phase

1- Yes
2- Yes, the Ugoos is more accurate than the ATV and more practical than the x800m2.
3- 100% stable so far and already watched over 10 movies (FEL P7 & P8)

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
You'll love it!! I can't believe we had this device this whole time and it only needed proper coding... Big props to @cpm00 for figuring out the fake tv-led bug. This shows how implementation in devices is important. Just look how poorly the AppleTV and Shield perform with the colorspace conversion ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
HDR10 playback is fine as long as your player doesn't tonemap DV to HDR10 like the x800m2/x700 can do when you have DV set to ''on'' and play a TS/M2TS rip.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
How is the 1080p to 4K upcaling on the Ugoos? Seems that the only reason I would keep my ub9000 would be to play 1080p Blu-rays with panasonic's upscaling, but if the ugoos is comparable, I think I'll ditch my player. I don't know. I think dmdreview tested upscaling but I'm not sure.. Ask him: http...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Yeah, the speed depends on your HDD/SSD. Regular HDD can be very slow.
I use two NVME pci-e gen4 drives and it takes less than 15 minutes.

I'm going crazy trying to limit the brightness of the subtitles, as my x800m2 can't handle them well. (Any video app on my TV doesn't have this problem)

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Btw what are the steps and installs I need to do to use your scripts? Thanks I'm on Windows. Sent from my SM-F946B using Tapatalk If you just want to make DT-DL MP4, the installation is very easy... Create a folder without space or special characters and put it on a non-OS drive preferably. Downloa...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hi I have DV remux mkv, I want to test it on my lg c6 (old i know), what's the simplest way to do it? Thank you. Sent from my SM-F946B using Tapatalk AFIAK, 2016-2017 TVs only support profile 5 and 7 so for an mkv remux , you want to convert it to dual-track dual-layer MP4. You can do that with my ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Could I ask how you are determining no colorimetry / extended colorimetry is being sent in your tests? Are you peeking the data using an HDFurry or some other such device between the box and the TV? Yes, all the tests I did were with the hdfury vertex in the chain and the ugoos reports the same RGB...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
The only thing I haven't tried is not signaling the flag at all, I think that's only in a special Coreelec build. All the CE versions I tried are not sending any color flags. It's either a bt2020 flag or no flag. I don't think there is a build that send a bt709 flag, that wouldn't make sense. BTW, ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
https://slow.pics/c/Hn8RGz0x - unfortunately i don't have a better camera than a smartphone. To the naked eye they look the same to me. And as for the color space, in reality there are only 2 squares of green more, the camera cuts off a few red ones. Okay, the multi pattern image video comparison w...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thx. Re-cmv4.0 tests patterns earlier- does reading the black texts at the top definitely confirms cmv4.0 hardware compatibility? No. When cmv4.0 is active, you will see brightness changes in the image at each metadata change. cmv4.0 test file on cmv4.0 hardware: https://i.ibb.co/2nZVRZr/Applicatio...
