Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
I found this advice on another forum & I would like some opinions on it. The best flash is to use LGWH60NS40 ROM v1.02, or ASUS 16D1HT v3.02 or LGWH60NS60 v1.00 as the base for UHD "friendly" depends on which drive you have, then replace the 0x001E9000 to the end (the section for the ...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
I've been reading on this forum & other forums. I want to crossflash a LG WH16NS60 (SVC code NS60) to an Asus BW-16D1HT. I have used the DosFlash (outside Windows) & Hex edit method successfully on a LG WH16NS60 & a LG BH16NS55 to v. 1.02. Both (SVC code NS50) so the method is familiar ...

Re: UHD FAQ
VLC 3.0.4 seems to be usable with 4k rips. I tried 3.0.3 and it was choppy and unusable. 3.0.4, however, seems to be perfectly smooth, though I'm still having trouble with HDR. That could just be me. Can anyone else confirm that 3.0.4 works well with 4k? i haven't had a problem with playback smooth...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
So I was successful in downgrading to 3.0.1 with your help. Thank you. I have a few questions at this point. Since I’m down to 3.0.1, does this mean that I can just update to 3.0.2 without having to hexedit? Is there any real benefit to 3.0.2? (Of course not the locked one. And lastly, I’ve transfe...

Hi All, I too just received a ASUS BW-16D1HT with 3.0.3. While I'm pretty technical, I'm not going to chance making a mistake in updating the firmware from the dump of 3.0.3. Would someone " @Teddyraspin ?" (Thanks for your great work! BTW) create a 3.0.1 firmware for me from the 3.0.3 du...

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS55
This process works great if you have a PC that will work with Dosflash, but I see in the thread Mike mentions a new program that would come out to make it even easier. Is there any update on that? It seems like many month's ago and I'm curious if there were issues or if it's not coming out etc. Als...

Re: LG BE16NU50 started ejecting discs without reading them
What I meant to say was that the first drive ejects all discs without reading them. Swapping in the second drive is fine as it works perfectly, but I’d like to get the first one working as well so I have a backup. I have tried running a cleaner disc through it, but that made no difference. i unders...
