Re: Why does MakeMKV never get forced subtitles right?
I've been using MakeMKV for quite some time and it never seems to flag the forced subs. As time goes on this gets more and more frustrating. Invariably I ended up processing the movie twice ; first I rip the disc with MakeMKV and then I have to process it again to set the forced flag on the correct...

Re: _ (underscore) in file name
It may or may not help your circumstances, but I personally encode my rips afterwards with Handbrake, which automatically a) Replaces Underscores with Spaces, and b) up's the filename to title-case (ie Auto-Capitalises the first letter of each word. This also has the advantage of shrinking the video...

Re: MKVs problems with some Blurays on Panasonic TV
As has been stated, BD Movie is a high data-rate file. It doesn't help that MKV's require higher processor operations to read and play on screen. If it is working on some and not others, it may be that it just can't keep up with the data rate of that movie. It could also be that the Panasonic TV's C...

Re: Feature Request: Preview Window in MakeMKV
It's probably still on the to-do list, and not near the start. Regardless, one can simply use VLC to check the title of the episode you are ripping (Start the episode, right-click, Playback, title, and it says which one). I find this is even better because the menu allows me to see for certain which...

Completely aware it is a Windows problem But, I guess you work with what you have, right?Woodstock wrote: What is at issue really is that spaces ARE legal within the file name, pretty much anywhere, but Explorer has issues with them....

Folder Naming in Windows
Hey, So I've run into a problem that this program can create on a Windows computer if you aren't careful. Basically, in Windows, when you name a folder, it deletes any trailing spaces after it, reducing it down to non-space characters, for whatever reason (though purely logical, and I understand why...

[Solved]MakeMKV GUI on Windows (7, x64) Sets path using '/'s
Just updated to the MakeMKV 1.8.6, and noticed that the default folder location needs to be browsed for every time. It starts off as "E:/Videos/Movies", which states there is no such folder. When I click Browse, it opens the Windows Explorer "Open" dialog at "E:\Videos\Movie...

Re: Purchase Question
Please explain how this works As far as I am aware, the DVD/ AVCHD ripping features are free / freeware aspects of the software. It's only the Blu-ray ripping that is limited by the paid version. So, if you only use MakeMKV to rip DVDs, you don't strictly have to buy the software, it is free to use...

Re: DTS-HD where can i find the DLL for decoding?
Bit late, but anyway.. Yeah, that should be the right one. Copy it into the MakeMKV folder, then go into "Preferences", "Advanced"(tab), and the option dtshddec.dll location, click the page next to it, and select the copied DLL file. Click ok, maybe restart MakeMKV just in case, ...

Re: Not getting complete titles
Hi, I Know when I tried to backup my copy of the Daria Animated Series, I just Chose the first few options. TBH, as much fun as it is watching that intro clip, its not necessary, and it makes it easier to backup / smaller. Some of them ended up with the intro anyway, but some didn't. Luck of the dra...

Hi, In order to investigate this further, log files are required. Can you duplicate the error, and post the created log files either to this forum board or to support@makemkv.com ? Thank you, Yugatha --- Instructions for dumps can be found here - http://www.makemkv.com/faq/item/8/catid/6 . Also, ple...
