Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020

MakeMKV will display current capability status in the 'Info' pane, if you have a system w/ it installed. Something like this if you need to flash: LibreDrive Information Status: Possible (with patched firmware) Drive platform: MT1959 Harware support: Yes Firmware support: No Firmware type: Original ...

Try Manual Mode...

You need to go into "Preferences" and click the box to enable "Expert Mode" to get the "Open DVD Files Manually" option.

Re: I Am Number Four video File?

Looks like a Disney release. Rule of thumb for Disney: - 0800 = English credits - 0801 <> 0802 = French <> Spanish (or other regional variants) Not your film, but just to demonstrate... Untitled (Small).jpg BTW this should, more appropriately, have been posted in the 'Blu-ray discs' sub-forum.

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020

You MIGHT need to 'right-click' on the MakeMKV icon & select "Run as administrator" I want to clarify, I want to flash the drive with the Windows pc, but I do not want to do backups with Windows. So SDFtool Flasher is a GUI which uses Makemkv? How can I run SDFtool Flasher with admin ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020

Sorry for my detailed questions, it is not so easy for me to try it out on the windows pc, because it is at another place. At the end I think I understood it now, and to be sure it would be nice to confirm, that I do not need to check encrypted with the BW-16D1HT. I need to download the fw-pack mys...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020

It is in a linux box at the moment. I will put it in a Windows 10 20H2 system with IDE installed (no AHCI) and no UEFI, connected to the master of SATA 1, system ist on SATA 0 master. All that is old news. If Windows detects the drive, you are good to go. Is it normal, that I always get dates from ...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Guide Updated 2020

There were 2 HW versions. This drive is a' HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BH16NS40-NS40 drive, manufactured before Oct 2015. Check the physical label on the drive if you must, but "Drive platform: MT1939" says it all. NOT "BD-4k" (UHD) capable.

All spelled out in the 1st post of this thread.

Re: same drive, different OS, different AACS support levels?

But the drive has 'seen' several discs at AACS 62 on the windows host, shouldn't transfer to the OSX also show AACS 62? Images above demonstrate that that data is stored at the PC user level, NOT by the drive. Even a different user on the same PC could see a different "highest AACS version&quo...

Re: same drive, different OS, different AACS support levels?

I believe "highest AACS version" is the highest version a MakeMKV user has seen.
