Re: New to MakeMKV, could use some advice!
I'm got the bin's and the flasher downloaded. When I select either of the ones that match my model, one is for 1.00 and the other is 1.02, I get checksum mismatch, drive will go to boot mode error Target drive: HL-DT-STBD-RE WH16NS40 1.05 Current version 1.05-00 I tried this first: DE_Flash_HL-DT-S...

Re: New to MakeMKV, could use some advice!
Afternoon all, new to MakeMKV as I stated in my topic. I've got tons and tons of movies, dvds, bluray, and UHD blurays. I finally decided to go about coverting them to digital and setup a Jellyfin server on my NAS. Well, I looked around, and came across MakeMKV, was recommended by many. I so far ha...

Re: Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide Updated 2023
... In this post, I scrolled down to the MediaFire link to the latest tool, and am getting a "Can't reach that page". The firmware pack came down just fine, but that one I can't seem to grab. Has the link changed and referenced in a different post? SDFtoolFlasher link is active for me... ...

Re: Strange corruption issue - MakeMKV's fault or bad HDD?
Thanks, that works! I'm now looking at Registry edits to move the command into the context menu itself rather than "Send to" (one less step). I've gotten a lot of mileage out of "Send to" over the years. I even have "Send to" in "Send to" to grease the proces...

Re: Strange corruption issue - MakeMKV's fault or bad HDD?
The double quotes around the arg %1 (the 1st arg passed to the command) were the culprit. Had forgotten arg references are pre-quoted. The original code, w/out quotes around %1 works fine. %* (ALL args passed to the command) may/may not cause issues someday? @ECHO OFF C:\ffmpeg\bin\ffmpeg -v error -...

Re: Strange corruption issue - MakeMKV's fault or bad HDD?
I am right-clicking on the .mkv file itself. The actual file path I'm testing (just the first one I laid my hands on) is: P:\TV Shows - In Progress\~ According To Jim\Season 01\According To Jim - S01E01 - Pilot.mkv So it seems to not like the [space] in the folder name for some reason? The double q...

Re: Strange corruption issue - MakeMKV's fault or bad HDD?
Are you specifying the entire folder 'P:\TV'? If so, try sending an individual file to .bat.

Re: Strange corruption issue - MakeMKV's fault or bad HDD?
Thanks, I was just typing a reply to say that the command prompt window flashes up and disappears again really quickly. Added "pause" and now it remains on screen... so now I can read the error message! It says: '[full' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable progra...

Re: Strange corruption issue - MakeMKV's fault or bad HDD?
Thanks! I'll give that a go... Upon reflection, that cmd will just run & exit. You'll either want to: @ECHO OFF [full path to]\ffmpeg -v error -i "%1" -f null NUL pause so you can read the output, or direct the output to a log: @ECHO OFF [full path to]\ffmpeg -v error -i "%1"...

Re: Strange corruption issue - MakeMKV's fault or bad HDD?
Thanks, now I just need to know how to write this "script"?! I think it needs to be a "batch" file, but I don't know how to substitute the "C:\MyVideo.mkv" for the path and file that was right-clicked? Assuming the cmd in the OP does what you want, this should work (as...

- rename it "Verify using ffmpeg" (or something similar)
- place it in %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo
YMMV

Could be a number of things...Kantankerous wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 3:59 amI've got C8EE and I'm seeing this error:

Is this something where I should send in a dump?
