auro-3d question
I have a new BD and wondered if would be able to rip the following. It has PCM and DTS tracks, and I will be OK with those. The audio track I am asking about is auro-3d. Please see the attached. I think we don't have support for that type of audio format (yet), so I'll also ask if there is anything ...

Re: Feature Request: DVD-A and Blu-ray Audio support?
The audio_ts folder has mlp audio. Use dvd-a explorer 2008 for that side by extracting as wav. Usually the mlp audio is the higher quality. You can use makemkv for the video_ts folder / side. That will work fine. Mux out the video track when your done ripping. This will yield an mka file. If the dvd...

Re: BD Drive problem after 1.9.8/9 upgrade
I upgraded again to makemkv 1.9.9. I also upgraded handbrake from 0.10.2 to 0.10.5. This solved the "auxiliary over read " dts decoder error I was getting in hb. All BDs I posted having dts errors in hb have been successfully processed in 1.9.9 & 0.10.5 (e.g., casino steel book). I als...

Re: BD Drive problem after 1.9.8/9 upgrade
I ran the 5 "problem" BDs through 1.9.4 & then hb 10.5, and none had the dts decoding error. There is a weird sub track in the casino mkv that vlc doesn't recognize, so I'll investigate that when I can.
I'll retry the whole process w 1.9.9 when I finish the 1.9.4 testing.

Re: BD Drive problem after 1.9.8/9 upgrade
I downgraded to 1.9.4. That got rid of the debug messages in the makemkv logs. But dts deciding still gives errors in hb 10.2.
So I'll upgrade to hb 10.5 & see if that helps.

Re: BD Drive problem after 1.9.8/9 upgrade
My op described a problem I've been having w certain BDs that have dts tracks. My list of BDs that give dts decoding errors follows: Bourne trilogy box; casino target steel book, & the conversation. In the op and subsequent posts I thought that maybe my drive was partially bricked. I sent aacs v...

Re: BD Drive problem after 1.9.8/9 upgrade
I am kind of with you Woodstock - thanks for responding. It's not a totally bricked drive, and yet, it seems a suspect newer BD may have triggered things. Kinda funny considering the BD is a hundred year-old movie. I sent the mkb v57 file to support. I also sent a v53 that got generated for a differ...

Re: BD Drive problem after 1.9.8/9 upgrade
Ok, I am thinking that my BD drive is now "bricked" - at least to some extent (e.g., I can process BDs, but MakeMKV gives debug messages). Is it reasonable to assume that I could have prevented this by upgrading to 1.9.8 before inserting an aacs v57 BD? Going back to 1/6, I do have the mkb...

BD Drive problem after 1.9.8/9 upgrade
I get the "Overread auxiliary data by 32 bits" from the dca decoder code in Handbrake for the 3 BDs in the Bourne box purchased at BB. Here is a link with a similar report. http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8654 The DTS-HD MA audio track from Bourne 1 movie is 3+ gb. I ...

Re: SCSI Error - Read of Scrambled Sector without Authentica
My previous posts/problems regarding the CR DVD of L'Avventura were solved by removing the VobSub track using mmg. Doing this fixed the "it freezes my lower-end players sometimes" problem. Removing the VobSub DVD subtitle track also "fixed" these titles: - Touch of Evil 1997 rest...

Re: Audio Artifacts On A Few Blu-Rays
I recently did Interstellar under 1.9.2 and had no issues; the logs are below. MakeMKV creates exact copies, so if there are "artifacts," it's probably something in your playback flow. Maybe your system is having trouble on a particular channel. I converted an old DVD of "Tora, Tora, ...

Re: mkv from 1.9.2 not filling the screen
Thanks Pat. For this particular "flipper" DVD, I pulled out the old DVD Decrypter folder, and fed the old folder to HB, which worked out nicely. I used the older folder bc the one I created recently with AnyHD had the same movie duration problems as the mkv from 1.9.2. There are still 2 ol...

Re: MakeMKV sometimes makes two main movies identical in siz
It's usually a good start to check the forum first (e.g., google "makemkv movie"). You can also check the title # in vlc or your physical player. This thread from yesterday has additional guidance. http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9091 And this one from today has relev...

Check the threads here for some of the newer releases; the folks are usually on the new titles very quickly (google "makemkv movie").

Re: Hancock BR - 4 videos but which one to pick?
I used the second one - title01, which was the unrated special edition. It uses 00002.mpls, and the following segments: 123, 141, 125, 142, 127, 143, 129, 144, 131, 145, 133, 146, 135, 147, 137, 148, 139, 149, 150. It has a running time of 1.42.14. The main feature is listed as t00, and is the first...
