Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

If you're going to buy a drive, buy it here, don't support those guys on eBay.

Re: LG WH16NS40 Blu-ray Burner dead in a couple of weeks?

It can happen sure. Where did you buy it?
There are sellers all over Amazon and Ebay selling refurbished and used drives as new, I know that's old news but yeah, something to be aware of none the less.

Re: The Original "UHD Friendly Drive" Supplier alexcoluzzi32@gmail.com (email) - now with pictures!

Yes I have.

Scratch that, I can take additional orders for WH16NS60s, but what I can't do is ship anything else until I've caught up with this backlog and if you're one of those people waiting on me PLEASE EMAIL ME to check status. Don't assume I've forgotten about you, because I haven't!!

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

Well the LG WH16NS60 will be at $200 soon because of the run on these drives Libredrive has created. Hard to believe I'm less expensive than Amazon at this point.

Re: UHD drives

Let’s not make assumptions about things based on their appearance because then rumors start and pretty soon it becomes gospel when in reality it’s bullshit :-) The BU40N drives are plenty strong and to further ensure their safety I ship them in strong little enclosures. I’ve been stress testing one ...

Re: UHD drives

So this is different from what’s been possible all along how?
Does MakeMKV report the drive as an ASUS or an LG?
Thank you.

Re: Playing 4K HDR Bluray RIP directly

>>OLED TV is not suitable for me as I will be using it over very long period of time.<< What is this now? More OLED burn-in kool aid drinking nonsense? Unless you're a hardcore gamer using an OLED TV as your monitor, which due to the input lag you wouldn't be, you should not have any issue with burn...

BU50N cross-flashed to BU40N 1.00
Does anyone know for sure if this works? @Billycar11, @jonghotti[/quote]

Yes works all day long. I sold the few BU50s I had and stick with the BU40N the legit one with the UHD Blu Ray logo on the bezel.

Re: UHD drives

Yes the NS60 is as fast as the ASUS but a bit more expensive due to it's UHD official status. Remember it's cool to support your local drive resellers who make it as easy as one email or text to obtain a drive. Those folks would be jonghotti <alexcoluzzi32@gmail.com>, Billycarr11 <billycar5924@gmail...
