With only 3 or 4 discs out of the 120 I have tried, usually rare titles. I have lots of R2 DVD so if you can let me know of any others that do this I can maybe try them myself.mikeinessex wrote:have u had this problem before krober

Re: Some Music DVDs that Fail to Rip
Hi Mike, Thanks for replying, I will send logs and files for the first two tonight. I think my drive resets its region count on reboot so will try another region for Johnny Cash. RATM - The Battle for Mexico City is a commercial original and works fine in my DVD players. All of my discs are commerci...

Re: Some Music DVDs that Fail to Rip
Are these 4 discs problematic because they have something MakeMKV doesnt support or is it an unusual structure / bug?

Re: No one wants to help!
Hi, If you want to keep the audio and video at full quality you should not need Ripbot. Just download Makemkv and the MKVs it outputs should have full quality video and audio (About 15-35GB in size for a Bluray). Just rip the DTSHD audio tracks and your Amp will play the DTS core (This is 1.5mbit DT...

Re: LG BR/HD Combo Drive Not Useable after entering beta key
I have this drive and did not have an issue with the beta key. Try upgrading to firmware 1.03 (The latest), you might want to use mediacodeedit to unlock fullspeed ripping too.

Re: Some Music DVDs that Fail to Rip
Update.... The video corruption MKVs play fine on my Bluray player using DLNA; first time I've seen a file that plays properly on the player and not my PC. It is only the three I have provided logs for that wont rip. With Quuen - Greatest Video Hits 2 - Disk 1 MakeMKV only sees 4 chapters, there are...

Re: Handling of Title names that form illegal Windows File Names
Hi! Just change the "Save as" name before starting the "rip"... Hopefully this isnt a really stupid question... How do I do that? Should I be using the command line? I managed to get info using the command line but how do I specify the output file name? I've got as far as : make...

Handling of Title names that form illegal Windows File Names
I cant rip my Chilli Peppers DVD because it generated an illegal filename:
//192.168.0.220/Data0/TempMkv/Red_Hot_Chili_Peppers/t00_Red_Hot_Chili_Peppers_"What_Hits!_".mkv
Any chance of a fix?

Re: Problems with A Few Good Men & This Is England BD
Hi Mike,
Yes that is it, I was unlucky enough that the first 2 BD Rips I tried to my new Samba server are both incompatible with the current version. Just tried two different BDs and they ripped perfectly; there is no problem with Samba or ripping directly to a network drive with my setup.

Re: Failing to finalise files on Samba share
Hi Nomad, Interesting.... Strange that Windows 2000 server can handle it. Speed on samba is excellent, I get 100-108Mbyte/sec constantly without jumbo frames. I can also unreliably rip 3 blurays at full 8x speed directly to the same share. Destination is a raid6 array, it sustains 400Mbyte/sec+ with...

Re: Failing to finalise files on Samba share
I'm trying a series DVD now, the 800MB-1.1GB files it is creating seem to be working fine. I can copy 35GB Blueray files from a local drive to the same Samba share and they copy OK. I can rip blu-rays directly to my old Windows 2000 Server too. Changing from the mapped drive to UNC doesnt seem to he...
