How do I rip 3D BDs and get a 2D file?

Post by Myrtledog »

I've got a few dozen 3D BDs and would like to rip only the 2D portion of the disc. Is that possible?

That's actually the default action - unless told otherwise, MakeMKV will skip saving the MVC track, which contains the 3D data, leaving you with a 2D file.

If you want to make sure, click on the little triangle next to the title on the left menu to expand the track list, and make sure that MVC is not checked.
