Current version too old

Hi, I've just downloaded the current version from the website but after installing it says the version is too old. I either need a newer version, which isn't on the site, or I need to register, but the site has no sections where I can register. Any advice?

We've reached the end of May, when the beta key expires, but Mike has not yet posted a new one here: http://makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1053

Until he changes that message, when you start MakeMKV, you will have to temporarily set your system date back to prior to 2015-05-25, start MakeMKV, then reset your date to current.

Registering, which gets you a non-expiring key, can be done with this link: /buy/ . The link is found in the help menu of the program, but... you can't get to the help menu until you start the program, so...

Yeah, the last time I looked, May 31 (today) is still "May." LOL

I agree... but neither of us counts in the decision. :)

Does the beta key typically take a while to be updated?

I want to test it out but I get all sorts of alerts trying to use it about registration keys, and if I exit the program I get errors "A Fatal error has occurred. Program will now exit" so I don't feel comfortable purchasing the program but would still like to try it.

I tried setting the date back (OS X) and still get the same errors.

Anything I can do aside from patiently wait?

TIA

Then length of time to update it varies. Mike usually gets a new one up within a week, unless there is a new version close to being released.

Hi,

I'd really appreciate a new beta key. Thanks in advance!

Man, I really have my fingers crossed for that fake playlist detection feature!

Doesn't Mike know I rely on his programme for all my viewing pleasures?!

(On that, it's been, what, three years in Beta now? What's with that, too, btw. Not that I'm complaining about "free", but... y'know. If anyone deserved free money...)

I felt the same way which is why I finally ended up buying a license. Just backed up a couple recent purchases! :D

You could buy a copy of ANYDVD HD and CloneBD to rip your movies to MKV. Just saying ....

The Beta key has been updated through July. See http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1053 for key.
