Version is out of date?

Post by koberulz »

I'm getting an error saying I have an out of date version, despite having 1.14.2, same as is currently available.

I'm trying to open a DVD, not a Blu-ray, and from the way I understand the bullet points on the front page this should still work?

I have the same problem.
I double-checked and have the latest version installed.
Is there a new version or another solution?

I take it you didn't bother to follow the link in the message you replied to, so you didn't get the updated beta key that was published at the end of January, and didn't put it in the blank under Help->Register.

You can temporarily set your system date to a date prior to your current key expiring (25 January 2019 will work for 1.14.2), start MakeMKV, then put the system date back to current. Then you can enter the current beta key.

MakeMKV only checks for key expiration on start-up.
