As far as I know, if you burn a MKV movie file to a blu-ray disc, it cannot play as a regular movie in a blu-ray player. MKV is a “Container” only enclosing the movie chapters for playing in a PC computer.

use BD Rebuilder to create an iso from an mkv rip to burn a BluRay disc.
