MakeMKV freezes when trying to do anything

When I try to open a disc, it freezes right after.
When I try to open the settings menu, it freezes.

Since MakeMKV works for me on Windows, and for others on MacOS, we need to figure out what is DIFFERENT in your system that is causing the issue.
What operating system?
Did you install the latest version, 1.14.4, or are you running an earlier version?
Did it work previously?
If it did, what changed on your system since it last worked?
Are there any logs created, or entries in your operating system's logs?
Did you recently get a message from your antivirus software?
